Oakland Series.
Good morning.
Could again have won a series, similar to the Mariners series. Next up Oakland.
We get Springs, a lefty, 3.69, verse Pallante.
Then Ginn a righty, 3.89, verse Libby. Then Kooez, 6.11, against McG.
Counting Oakland, this will be our fourth Division Leader- Rays, Cleveland LAD -.5 and now Oakland. We won the other three series, and stand 6-3 against division leaders.
Have we ever played here? I don’t know.
Quick snap shot.

Re: Oakland Series.
Last year the Cardinals faced Springs in St. Louis, and won that game 5-1. He took the loss, but had only given up 2 runs in 6 IP.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑12 May 2026 09:09 am Good morning.

Cards have not played the A's at Sacramento, which is where this series will take place. It is a minor league park. The A's are in first place in their division, but their record is only 21-19, and even at home they are just 8-8.

Re: Oakland Series.
What to expect then, minor league park. At first glance, they appear mediocre. But they will win a game. Tough road trip. Two good teams. 4-3 would be marvelous.12xu wrote: ↑12 May 2026 09:15 amCards have not played the A's at Sacramento, which is where this series will take place. It is a minor league park. Then KC, 1.5 games back, Pittsburgh Reds Brewers Cubs. An angry Pitt team, a floundering Reds team, a heads above water Brewers team, and a dominate Cubs team.

330 LF line, 325 RF line, 403 CF. No upper deck. Seats 15K-ish counting the lawn.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑12 May 2026 09:21 amWhat to expect then, minor league park. Welcome to Sacramento, Cardinals! My brother and I will be there Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon. Glad to know we will see Libby and McGreevy.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑12 May 2026 09:09 am Good morning.

Awesome. I wonder what concessions will cost as compared to a real stadium experience.sp25 wrote: ↑12 May 2026 10:27 amWelcome to Sacramento, Cardinals! Re: Oakland Series.
Perhaps Pallante and Gorman could find some time to go apartment hunting while in Sacramento. This would make a very good home for both of them.
On another note, keep an eye on new callup, Henry Bolte. A young OF that would look good in Cardinal red.

Re: Oakland Series.
It's Major League baseball in a Triple A stadium, with Major League prices. Seats for the Dodgers series next month are going for $400.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑12 May 2026 11:02 amAwesome. Re: Oakland Series.
I'm expecting some high scoring games. Seems to me balls fly out of that minor league park like Colorado on steroids.
