Re: Wick
Didn’t we get Wick from Montreal?
Wasn’t he a former 1st overall draft pick?
My memory is shot….

Re: Wick
Montreal took him #1 overall, while Francophone Denis Savard went third. My leaky memory is that Habs nation went ballistic.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑12 May 2026 08:32 amYessir…Wick, Palawski, and Delorme for TurnbullBubble4427 wrote: ↑12 May 2026 08:29 amDidn’t we get Wick from Montreal?

Re: Wick
Yep..Habs fans were not happy. Wick got off to a slow start while Savard was dominating for the Hawks. With that said..Wick was a great junior player and I think he put up close to 200pts his draft yearblues2112 wrote: ↑12 May 2026 08:46 amMontreal took him #1 overall, while Francophone Denis Savard went third. As to the game, classmates and I listened to the radio broadcast replayed the next day, which was practice day for high school graduation.
