Wow that's scary. Especially considering the way he was rolling around on the ground afterwards. Would be nice if they'd show another angle or at least super slow-mo so we could see if the helmet at least prevented direct contact. Looks like it did but that looks right to the temple which is one of the worst (if not THE WORST!) places to get hit in the head/face.

When i WAS 16 I could throw fairly hard and hit a guy right in the forehead. We did not wear helmets in those days, I believe it was 1964. Kid turned into the pitch, you are taught to turn away from inside stuff. The ball bounced off his head over the backstop across a highway and into someone's yard. My legs turned to jelly watching him twitch on the ground. He sat up, went to first and stayed in the game. I had to come out of the game. That was a learning experience for me.
