He's been bad this year. Last year, he had a .878 whip and 1.94 ERA in 60 IP's. Maybe they see something in him, but rather he figure it out in AAA.

Evidently they believe hes a better option at this point as opposed to a Memphis reliever.
Hes shown he can be effective. He's young and cheap.
Not saying the leash might be getting shorter but there must be a reason they're trying to work him through this.

You just don't toss that away 6 weeks into the season.
No reason to be impatient unless some delusional folks here have suddenly forgotten what this season was supposed to be about just because they've played over their heads for 40 games.
If the team had championship expectations then maybe you have a shorter leash otherwise no reason at this point to send him down.
If last sesson was a fluke you won't find out by sending him to Memphis.

Okay so go on record how many games should they lose going to him? He’s going to give up at least 1 run every game how many games should they toss away letting him give up runs?let me guess as soon as they finally get around to figuring out he sucks and send him down that is the precise moment you agree he should be sent down11WSChamps wrote: ↑09 May 2026 22:43 pmThe guy was terrific last season in 39 games.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑09 May 2026 22:34 pmand I’ll bet as soon as they send him down you will agree that was the right time to send him down lol because they will he won’t figure it out he will continue to be awful11WSChamps wrote: ↑09 May 2026 22:25 pmYou know more than the braintrust does. I thought this year was about a "rebuild" to see what the young players can do? Isn't that what you all said this offseason? What changed?
You dont throw in towell on a guy in 6 weeks who was probably the bright spot of the pen last year besides Leahy and Romero.

A run every game. You’re also the one who slammed me all off season when I said the cardinals could easily be above .500 this season soooo your criticisms don’t mean much

Re: svanson
The only reason for him to be here now is to eat innings like Shuster. The problem is he’s not being used that way. So my conclusion at this point is he should be in Memphis working to get his way back to leverage situations in StL.

Re: svanson
Agreed! KS has shown that he can be effective (see 2025). He has also shown good stuff this year, with poor command. Apparently, the Cards want to let him find his location here and not in MEM. Watching relievers find command often requires a long attention span.11WSChamps wrote: ↑09 May 2026 22:43 pmThe guy was terrific last season in 39 games.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑09 May 2026 22:34 pmand I’ll bet as soon as they send him down you will agree that was the right time to send him down lol because they will he won’t figure it out he will continue to be awful11WSChamps wrote: ↑09 May 2026 22:25 pmYou know more than the braintrust does.
