This 17-year-old got the highest IFA bonus of any player since the mistake with Jonathan Machado (the next Ichiro).
Listed at 6'2" 202 lbs, he doesn't look that big, but ABS will soon resolve the height issue.

We won't get much info until well after the season starts for the DSL Cardinals on June 1st.

But at least they are going for more of these high-ceiling bats!

He has a muscled-up physique that has evaluators dreaming on his raw power from the right side of the box. Luna’s power will likely have a slight edge over the hit tool during his career, but he’s earned some praise for his strike-zone recognition and willingness to drive the ball to all corners of the ballpark. With more pro-level instruction, he could be an average overall hitter in time.

Luna moves around the basepaths well and could be valuable with his speed, even if he does slow down a tick with more physical maturity. Those wheels should make him a center-field option out of the gate, but he’s likely headed to a corner long term once he bumps against a better overall defender in the middle of the grass. The power-speed upside is tantalizing if he can work with St. Louis coaches to put all his tools together in the years to come.

And Jonathan Mejia, 2021 was the biggest since Machado...I think he went for $2.0m....he's been a disappointment. Switch Hitting 5 Tool prospect....still time for him.

I hope Luna is the real deal...he's now the biggest since Machado...as you said.

Yea they’re gambles but I like them going for toolsy players like that they will miss on many but if you hit on one or two that makes all the misses worth gambling like that
