Yes, Justin Carbonneau is still playing hockey in the 2026 postseason. After his junior team, the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (QMJHL), was eliminated in a seven-game series, he is joining the Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL) for their Calder Cup Playoffs run, effective May 6, 2026.


Junior Season Ends: Carbonneau's QMJHL season concluded following a Game 7 loss in the conference finals, where he finished with 20 points (9g, 11a) in 17 playoff games.Moving to Pros: He has been called up to the St. Louis Blues' AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds, along with fellow prospect Adam Jiricek.AHL Action: The Thunderbirds are currently in the second round of the Calder Cup Playoffs, holding a series lead over the Providence Bruins

I’m not sure why you guys would assume Carbo is definitely playing tonight. He just made it into town for today’s morning skate but there’s been no indication yet Ott will actually insert him into the lineup.
