The Cards have been focusing on K's vs pitch to contact.

Case in point:

9 innings 16 K's. Peoria. Maybe it's working. :mrgreen:

Interestingly, in the Palm Beach game the Cards pitching rang up 14 K's over 8 innings. As 8 innings imply, not a good outcome. Still, lots of K's in our future I think.

16 Ks and 2 BB for Peoria is much better than 14 Ks and 9 BBs for Palm Beach!

Indeed. Seems BBs is often a shortcoming of power pitching. :mrgreen:

C. Bloom immediately identified this problem and has loaded the system w/high octane flame throwers.

Sure they'll likely need a lot of work harnessing that power but if they do, watch out!
