The best fish and chips?

Post by abuxb »

If you like fish and chips, you've got to check out the Mess Hall at 2nd Shift Brewery, on Sublette, just south of Manchester. It is quite possibly the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot of fish and chips, including in the UK. It has a thin crust, just crispy enough, and the fish is flaky and delicious. Just order at the window, grab a seat, and wait. You will not be disappointed.

There isn’t a dish that I’ve tried at more places and been disappointed than fish and chips I’ve never had them in the UK. I finally stopped because I decided maybe I just don’t like it.

If you don't like the fish and chips at Mess Hall, then you definitely just don't like fish and chips.

Good to know. I love 2nd Shift and was disappointed when the Filipino restaurant whose name escapes me moved out, but I'll check this out. Haven't been to 2nd Shift in awhile, so I'm due for a visit.
