Yikes ! 40% SO at AAA. I sure wouldn't want to project his rate at MLB level . Kinda a big bat or miss type swinger. He does have top defensive skills. Will be interesting to see what Bloom does with him and the other catchers.. a surplus area .

Maybe true on the power and strikeouts but evidently his defense is better than what we have here now ?

34.7% but irrelevant, it's bad.

His strike zone command is not good.
That said I am not sure that even having a SO rate less
than 30% wins a job over Pages at this time and
that is who he'd replace.
Call me skeptical at the very least.

Needs to cut down on the K rate and as Bloom stated before the season, he's not going to jerk guys between AAA and MLB. He wants to make sure they are ready and then bring them up for good. Crooks will be up soon enough. Patience.

As much as I don’t like Pages, a 40% strikeout rate never translates to big league success. Bernal would likely be a better choice. 22% SO rate this year (small sample) and 15% last year in AA. 11% walk rate so far this year and a .329 OBP. Nothing to write home about but not a terrible start as he adjusts. He also has a high average exit velocity too.

Yebbut he's hitting .288 with a 1.080 OPS and he has a .415 OBP. It is what it is.

Crooks has an OB% over .400, and an OPS over 1.0. He has always driven in runs, but you guys keep drooling over Pages the great!

I've never seen a single poster "drool over Pages the great".

Crooks will come up in due time when he's ready. He certainly wasn't ready when brought up last year where in 46 plate appearances he K'd 17 times and hit .133 with a .397 OPS. Bloom has said he's not going to rush guys and will wait until they are fully ready to stick at the MLB level to bring them up. You can whine and complain as much as you want, but that is the plan.

The people that care know that MLB pitching is an entirely different ballgame than AAA pitching and don't want to bring him up and see him struggle like he did at the end of last season.

35% k-rate and HR/FB over 60%. Very noisy numbers
