Most of here could care less if they were traded. What we wanted was their salary replaced with TALENT

Contreras was replaced by burly arenado was replaced by gorman Donovan by JJ gray by may okay both gray and may sucked their first starts but I’ll take the others over who they replaced any day

This. Roycroft is nearly 29. In 29 years on this earth he has accumulated a -1.0 WAR and a 1.61 WHIP. We know what we have and its not the next Randy Johnson late bloomer. Its just hot garbage. Bring up someone else who actually has a ceiling and some years left to achieve it.

I said earlier, how early in the off-season , I had hoped Bloom would work out a deal for Yandy Diaz. At the time it was said the Rays might be looking to move him, and the 12 mil or so owed him. Of course it soon became obvious that the Cardinals weren’t going to be bringing in anybody. Diaz isn’t very good defensively, but he sure can hit! He has played 1st base, and 3rd some in his career.
He should would look good hitting 4th for the Cardinals.
People said on here how it would cost millions of dollars to upgrade this team. Diaz wouldn’t have this year, and I imagine he could have been extended reasonably as well.
Oh well, water under the bridge now, at least until the trade deadline?

So who would you have him replace? Obviously it seems that you'd have him replace Ivan at DH? I dont know if thats a good idea. I think like a few others, this is a "show us" year for him.

What are you giving up to get him?

Why bring in a 34 year old FA to be, given the youth/ movement rebuild?

To me, this would have been a very Mo-like can’t really decide which way to go move.
