The amount of angst over these lineups worries me for these people.

Pretty obvious by putting JW at 1B for today , Oli gets a chance to see Church, Saggese, and Velasquez in the OF all in one game. Add to that Fermin at SS,and Urias at 2nd so Oli sees him defensively ( thus JJ gets his at bats from DH )

If you look at those 5 guys.. the 3 OF's today plus Fermin and Urias there are the battles for roster spots. All 5 of those are vying for spots . Bloom /Olis are seeing them all in same game , same playing conditions.
PS Not to say there aren't a couple other ones but those are primary ones.

I think that is Blaze Jordan, not Jordan Walker.

I think the angst is only with you guys.

Red only commented that the lineup was "interesting", and did not argue that Oli was putting out anything stupid. Ramfan wrote an intelligent post about the defensive positions, which perhaps explains the various strategies in this ST lineup.

Nothing nefarious going on here, just an early discussion about what the team is trying to discover in Florida.

No one said anything about nefarious or stupid. But the analyzing of lineups is a bit much.

You are judging by your analysis. We may be looking 6 or even of today's players and the pitcher being starters this season or next.

Good job fighting back and out of the inning by QM there. Anyone at the game today? Would be interested in someone’s “eye test” of Matthews.

Blaze Jordan can't complain he isn't getting a look in ST.
