LoL. It's like some on here have never seen ST lineups before.

The amount of angst over these lineups worries me for these people.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑27 Feb 2026 11:07 am LoL. It's like some on here have never seen ST lineups before.
Re: Very interesting lineup today
Pretty obvious by putting JW at 1B for today , Oli gets a chance to see Church, Saggese, and Velasquez in the OF all in one game. Add to that Fermin at SS,and Urias at 2nd so Oli sees him defensively ( thus JJ gets his at bats from DH )OldRed wrote: ↑27 Feb 2026 10:57 am This is very interesting lineup:

If you look at those 5 guys.. the 3 OF's today plus Fermin and Urias there are the battles for roster spots. All 5 of those are vying for spots . Bloom /Olis are seeing them all in same game , same playing conditions.
PS Not to say there aren't a couple other ones but those are primary ones.

I think that is Blaze Jordan, not Jordan Walker.ramfandan wrote: ↑27 Feb 2026 11:22 amPretty obvious by putting JW at 1B for today , Oli gets a chance to see Church, Saggese, and Velasquez in the OF all in one game. Red only commented that the lineup was "interesting", and did not argue that Oli was putting out anything stupid. Ramfan wrote an intelligent post about the defensive positions, which perhaps explains the various strategies in this ST lineup.
Nothing nefarious going on here, just an early discussion about what the team is trying to discover in Florida.
Re: Very interesting lineup today
No one said anything about nefarious or stupid. But the analyzing of lineups is a bit much.sp25 wrote: ↑27 Feb 2026 11:47 amI think the angst is only with you guys.Bad14 wrote: ↑27 Feb 2026 11:35 amYes!Longhorns55 wrote: ↑27 Feb 2026 11:21 amThe amount of angst over these lineups worries me for these people.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑27 Feb 2026 11:07 am LoL. Re: Very interesting lineup today
You are judging by your analysis. We may be looking 6 or even of today's players and the pitcher being starters this season or next.Bad14 wrote: ↑27 Feb 2026 11:53 amNo one said anything about nefarious or stupid. Good job fighting back and out of the inning by QM there. Anyone at the game today? Would be interested in someone’s “eye test” of Matthews.

Only thing worse than spring training games is pre season football

I hope Minor League Guy gets some playing time today.
Re: Very interesting lineup today
Blaze Jordan can't complain he isn't getting a look in ST.
