66 Wins y'all.
Just 66 wins are projected.
I'm sure you've seen this.
We have some on here that are clouded into thinking this team is better than last year.
I think that is 2nd worst projected, just ahead of Colorado.
But, according to Bloom, we are going to be competitive in 2026?

It's wrong. Cards will win more games in 2026 than 2025
Gorman, Walker and Scott are going to improve
Wetherholt will be similar in WAR to Donovan
Arenado won't be missed as Fermin, Saggese will be fine
Pitching Depth will be better
Bullpen fine

Why do you care? Would 77 make you feel better? What about 81? Would that make you feel like a winner? Get a different hobby if you can’t deal wit th a few down years.Bully4you wrote: ↑12 Feb 2026 01:08 am 66 Wins y'all.

You’re wrong. I want to win the World Series this year. Anything else doesn’t matter. I know more about being a MLB GM than Bloom. I think about the roster everyday as I drive to work getting paid garbage.TheFantasyStud wrote: ↑12 Feb 2026 02:13 am It's wrong. Cards will win more games in 2026 than 2025

The Cardinals only have 11 seasons that matter? That's a tortured outlook. It's a game.Cardinals1964 wrote: ↑12 Feb 2026 02:27 amYou’re wrong. I want to win the World Series this year. I do not care what the 2026 record is unless they shock me and make the playoffs and advance past the first opponent.
If they fail to make the playoffs (expected) then 66 is no different thant 76 wins.

Bully is a charter member of the short attention span club. They are only interested with the 2026 MLB W/L record. Nothing else matters, except the 2026 MLB payroll. Any number below $170M will result in extreme outrage and wailing about DeWallet.Cardinals1964 wrote: ↑12 Feb 2026 02:24 amWhy do you care? Would 77 make you feel better? What about 81? The new regime's cleanup and reinvestment in development means zero to this bunch. We may need to call the waaambulance.

I don't believe he ever said they were "going to be competitive" in 2026.Bully4you wrote: ↑12 Feb 2026 01:08 am But, according to Bloom, we are going to be competitive in 2026?

He may have said that they were "going to compete" in 2026 - meaning that every player, coach, etc. was expected to go out and do their best to try to win every game. However, that is different than saying they have the developed talent at this point "to be competitive."

But let’s think about it. In my lifetime, the Cardinals have been in nine World Series. That’s every 6.77 years. They won 5. That’s every 12.2 years of my life. That’s a very good performance based on the number of teams in each league. I only hope younger people see the same results instead of whining like snowflakes.

I don’t know why they would be more upset about 50 wins than they would about 75 wins.BrockFloodMaris wrote: ↑12 Feb 2026 04:04 amBully is a charter member of the short attention span club. You are on a roll this am '64. I get it.Cardinals1964 wrote: ↑12 Feb 2026 04:13 amThe only reason we won’t win this year is because of the three players you named being traded. We should’ve stuck with what we had and hope for better.

I have been saying all offseason I see a 67 to 72 win range team. I don’t get what people see that makes them think this team will be better than last year.Bully4you wrote: ↑12 Feb 2026 01:08 am 66 Wins y'all.

This is a year I won’t be watching expecting to see them win, I will instead be watching to see which players create individual storylines to support they are a building block to being a core piece in the future and who is not part of the future.

I for one would be very disappointed with 66 wins and LAST PLACE in a weaker division. While this is a rebuild we have not stripped the team down to nothing. We have players we expect to improve over last year. 66 wins would indicate the rebuild is failing in my opinion. It would tell me that the players, coaches and management have taken a step backwards not forward. Sorry but I cannot accept this degree of failure as a long time Cardinal fan, rebuild or no rebuild.

70-92, and a little of that maybe due to if they sell some more at the trading deadline.
