I *think* this is bunk. But I would be happy to be wrong.

Yeah, I can’t confirm. I trust Augie but he’s no insider.

Hard pass. We are relegated to taking Pittsburgh's leftovers? Once a great player.

This is a Cards fan piggybacking off of some pundit yesterday saying Cutch would be a good fit. It's not true or even rumored.

Why would that matter? Honestly he'd be a good vet to bring in.

That would be my guess.

It's reality. 39 years old. Hit .239 with 13 HR I'd put a younger guy if this is a rebuild which it obviously is.

What possible advantage (other than coaching and mentoring younger players) could Cutch bring to the Cardinals? He's just a waste of a roster spot on a team that has already stated seeing what it has in its bevy of younger players is the org's MO.

Cards are paying more than 50 mil for OTH players to play elsewhere. Why pay to bring another in?

Evidently bogus. It’s not like Augie Nash to be giving bogus info. Apologies. (Actually I’m glad: he’s over the hill)

The only reason you bring him in is mentoring, they don't really have that on the roster. That's the only point in bringing anyone in.

This is the same guy who used to be Cardinals Live or whatever on twitter. He’s a notorious liar and steals actual writers work and tries to pass it off as insider info. Also, the Augie Nash guy was obviously it saying that he was actually traded. He made an AI picture of McCutchen in a Cardinals uniform because McCutchen changed his profile picture after Pittsburgh signed Ozuna.

I took his tweet as a joke... he's used to interacting with a lot of people on Twitter who would immediately recognize that tweet as a joke.

This thread is just an example of a tweet escaping containment and confusing the normies.

If you are going young, then go young. Don't be stupid like Mo and bring in a bunch of old geezers. That was idiotic. But then again, Mo was a putz.

Cardinals are committed to their young outfielders. Don’t see them doing this. This only makes sense if you’re a contender and need a right handed bat off the bench, not a rebuilding team like the Cardinals.
