I *think* this is bunk. But I would be happy to be wrong.Galatians221jb1 wrote: ↑10 Feb 2026 13:47 pm 1 year deal I’m reading

Yeah, I can’t confirm. I trust Augie but he’s no insider.Strummer Jones wrote: ↑10 Feb 2026 13:51 pmI *think* this is bunk. But I would be happy to be wrong.Galatians221jb1 wrote: ↑10 Feb 2026 13:47 pm 1 year deal I’m reading

Re: Cards sign McCutchen?
This is a Cards fan piggybacking off of some pundit yesterday saying Cutch would be a good fit. It's not true or even rumored.
Re: Cards sign McCutchen?
Why would that matter? Honestly he'd be a good vet to bring in.ScotchMIrish wrote: ↑10 Feb 2026 13:55 pmHard pass. We are relegated to taking Pittsburgh's leftovers? Once a great player.

It's reality. 39 years old. Hit .239 with 13 HR I'd put a younger guy if this is a rebuild which it obviously is.alw80 wrote: ↑10 Feb 2026 15:24 pmWhy would that matter? Re: Cards sign McCutchen?
What possible advantage (other than coaching and mentoring younger players) could Cutch bring to the Cardinals? He's just a waste of a roster spot on a team that has already stated seeing what it has in its bevy of younger players is the org's MO.alw80 wrote: ↑10 Feb 2026 15:24 pmWhy would that matter? Cards are paying more than 50 mil for OTH players to play elsewhere. Why pay to bring another in?

Evidently bogus. It’s not like Augie Nash to be giving bogus info. Apologies. (Actually I’m glad: he’s over the hill)
Re: Cards sign McCutchen?
The only reason you bring him in is mentoring, they don't really have that on the roster. That's the only point in bringing anyone in.blackinkbiz wrote: ↑10 Feb 2026 15:34 pmWhat possible advantage (other than coaching and mentoring younger players) could Cutch bring to the Cardinals? Re: Cards sign McCutchen?
This is the same guy who used to be Cardinals Live or whatever on twitter. He’s a notorious liar and steals actual writers work and tries to pass it off as insider info. Also, the Augie Nash guy was obviously it saying that he was actually traded. He made an AI picture of McCutchen in a Cardinals uniform because McCutchen changed his profile picture after Pittsburgh signed Ozuna.
Re: Cards sign McCutchen?
I took his tweet as a joke... he's used to interacting with a lot of people on Twitter who would immediately recognize that tweet as a joke.Galatians221jb1 wrote: ↑10 Feb 2026 16:13 pm Evidently bogus. This thread is just an example of a tweet escaping containment and confusing the normies.

If you are going young, then go young. Don't be stupid like Mo and bring in a bunch of old geezers. That was idiotic. But then again, Mo was a putz.

Re: Cards sign McCutchen?
Cardinals are committed to their young outfielders. Don’t see them doing this. This only makes sense if you’re a contender and need a right handed bat off the bench, not a rebuilding team like the Cardinals.
