Rebuild or Paying Off MO's Bad Debt

Post by mycardfan »

I don't feel this is a rebuild. It is paying off Mo's bad decisions and debt.

Potato/potatoe. Mo's blunders brought us to the point of needing a rebuild.

And don't let BDWJr off the hook either

He could've ended Mo's rein of ineptness by firing him years ago.

In addition to accepting poor results for too long, ownership made conscious decisions (budgetary cuts) coming out of COVID that led to the org's malaise.

They both got lazy, living off long past successes and happy as long as 3M kept coming.

It took a huge decline in attendance, something many of us have been posting had to happen for years, to finally get Bill to "see the light" and move on from Mo.

Still shocked another MLB team has not given millions to sign Moran the King of Error. Also Girsch? Were not the Mets dying to sign him for his expertise. Obviously, the inability to adequately evaluate talent was not confined to the players on the field.

Girsch is still with the team as VP and Special Advisor.
