He was touted all week of practice as being one of most impressive players there and then showed it wasn't a fluke in actual game. WTG Zion! really upgraded his draft status to now talk of early second round or higher depending how he does at combine.
Here's the thing he came to MU from MI State as a 3 star recruit and was good against run but not effective edge rusher. But Brian Early who has sent players to NFL before really turned him into a finished product and effective from time he got to Como.

He also turned Walker and others into more effective players.

So why not the big DE from FSU? Jones? has raw potential but with proven players ahead of him he didn't get much PT. Could be the next project to coach up for Early. Seems like a Zion 2.0.

I'm surprised McClellan isn't higher on draft boards he was a stellar DT last season. Maybe it's just that DT isn't highly drafted. I think he makes an NFL roster regardless.
