Tampa/Boston
The most entertaining things so far:
1. The goalie fight.
2. Country singer Tim McGraw talking about the goalies “beating the s..t out of each other”.
3. Florida people sitting outside in 35-degree weather looking like they’ve died and gone to Hades.

Re: Tampa/Boston
The Stripes controlling the score there at the end of period 2. Can’t have TBL get dog walked in such a high profile game, I guess, especially their first outdoor…
Gross.
Gross.
Re: Tampa/Boston
Kucherov is just such a talent. He looks almost slow/lazy when you watch him. But he just sees the ice so well. Very Lemieux like in that fashion

Super interesting observation ... Mario did always seems to have a lackadaisical air and then ... pop, back of the net. I see what you're saying.
Re: Tampa/Boston
Yea I always thought Mario looked like the slowest most deliberate player but he just always made the right play, move, pass, shot, etc. and suddenly he’s got a 4 point nightSunny's Teeth wrote: ↑01 Feb 2026 20:51 pmSuper interesting observation ... Many have comped Gavin McKenna’s style to that of Kucherov; which begs the question about the nitpicking of a star player who’s been highly touted for several years

If we have the number 1 pick i will be ecstatic to have stenberg or mckenna.
If we have the number 2 pick i will be happy with whichever gets left to us.
We have to do our part to try and get one.
Re: Tampa/Boston
McKennas draft stock has dropped because hes had a slower year at Penn State and his WJC was unremarkable. I’d personally be thrilled if the Blues got him. But he’s no lock 1OA like he was a few years ago.BleedingBleu wrote: ↑02 Feb 2026 07:02 amMany have comped Gavin McKenna’s style to that of Kucherov; which begs the question about the nitpicking of a star player who’s been highly touted for several years
Re: Tampa/Boston
Certainly the longer legs/strides can add to the appearance of being slow, but high hockey sense to anticipate plays and quick on the tape passing to & from helps to avoid the panicked rapidity of movement as well...all of it can generate a "lazy" assessment. But no doubt the game is just so easy for those elite talents and fun to watch.MiamiLaw wrote: ↑01 Feb 2026 21:01 pmYea I always thought Mario looked like the slowest most deliberate player but he just always made the right play, move, pass, shot, etc. and suddenly he’s got a 4 point nightSunny's Teeth wrote: ↑01 Feb 2026 20:51 pmSuper interesting observation ...
