Hofer really led tonight

Post by theograce »

Didn’t think he played that well

But love how he intentionally went at Tkachuk who was chirping him and the Blues in the 3rd.

Stinky mitted his head too.

Really hope Florida misses the playoffs

I don't particularly care for their players individually but they've been a great team to watch in the playoffs. They sap the will of their opponent shift by shift, game by game. They play to sap will, the opponents know what's happening but cannot stop it.

They just aren’t the same team for many reasons. Hate them though

But you have an issue when Binnington does it?

You put it very well. The Cats are a tough, gritty playoff team similar to the 2019 Blues. I was hoping for a three Pete but it doesn’t look likely at this point. IF they make the playoffs anything can happen.

I have an issue with binnington acting faux tough. There’s a difference for me. Not only did he take Tkachuk down … he kept pushing forward and gloved his head.

And he targeted the guy who was targeting him and the team.

I never understand why these kids facewash with their mitt and don't lead with the blocker. Take a cue from Billy Smith. Pop turtle in the jaw with your blocker and he will think twice about acting up.

Because you get match penalty/suspended and throw the game away. This isn’t the 80’s my man.

He did it right. That was his F-you to Tkachuk who embarrassed him earlier and who was chirping him about it

Yeah but that turd deserves a beating. A "warrior" who has no issue spearing someone but a turtle when someone (especially his size responds). Still whining about deaharnais after he gets absolutely smoked . Off course his response is to spear desharmais and turtle and cry when deaharnais starts throwing down. The love for these brothers and their playoff choker dad is lost on me. Blasphemy.

Remember guys, the Panthers are without Barkov and have been all year. This is a Top 5-10 player in the league. And Tkachuk is in just his second game. If (and it’s a big if, but he’s skating) Barkov returns, the Panthers will be very tough

Just finished watching the game and Panthers looked slow compared to the Blues. What a weird thing to type.

Anyway they’re also without Seth Jones. Hoping they get it together and repeat.

I mean yeah I’d love to see him get throttled too. Really dislike him…always have. Miss the Kassian days

Just curious, have you always hated Florida or is it a tkachuk thing? I can’t imagine any of the three have had many fans outside of the city they play in or their hometown. I know I absolutely hated Walt until he was a Blue.

Beat me to it.

Frankly, Hofer was meh ... he also got away with a few miscues handling the puck. But 4 goals on 20 shots isn't very good.

You're spot on -
They were also missing Anton Lundell, Marchand (who didn't play in 3rd), Seth Jones, Jonah Gadjovich, Dmitry Kulikov, Tomas Nosek

If they can snag that wild card spot they will be a hand full in the playoffs again.
