For us who love baseball

Post by OldRed »

I’m kinda the same.

People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.

Me too, Red, and almost every day I check out the web hoping I will see some kind of move the Cardinals are making, and other than minor league deals, nothing significant happens.

I am not expecting them to sign some superstar to a hundred million contract, just something solid to help the team in the future.

+1...there's a group of us from Section 148 who get together just before Spring Training...going to meet tomorrow night...most people seem a little more positive...we are not expecting much but at least Mo-ran is finally gone...going to take awhile to clean up his mess.

I like that. A few years ago, I invited a few guys that posted here to come and watch a ball game at my house and have a beer or two. I had two accept the invitation and we did it a couple of times. I'm still friends with one of them. The other person quit posting and moved out of the area, didn't ever find out what happened to him, but I really enjoyed the time talking baseball, a lot of good stories and laughs.

If Rogers Hornsby had a PS5 he would be playing MLB the Show all winter.

It's not the only thing, but it's the only thing that can eat up an entire season just by watching.
