I wouldn't hate it on a 1 year deal. RH bat, can play center, and he HAS had some big hits for other teams over the past few years. One year deal. Possibly even another player to give up at the deadline.

A better question is why would he sign with STL? He could get a two year 20-25mm deal with a contender.
