No way in hell I'm dropping that kind of money when ownership won't pony up. I can do other things with that money, like go fishing or take a trip to a shrine. They've lost me until they prove they want to compete. I've been a Card follower for 50 years and this is the first time I've felt that they aren't being honest with fans and trying to win. I can still talk about them but I won't spend any money on them.

I am leaning towards going to see them at CitiField or Yankee Stadium.
Hoping a couple/few show that they can develop into members of a viable core for future use.

That's understandable until Bill shows he's going to dedicate himselfCCard wrote: ↑22 Jan 2026 20:41 pmNo way in hell I'm dropping that kind of money when ownership won't pony up. He isn't looking to buy talent at market at this time. Our core will need to come from internal development. Can supplement and fill in the blanks once you have that Cheap Core.
So we seek to find a situation similar to the Jeter/Posada/Rivera etc led Yanks or the Molina/Pujols/Wainos etc cores that you can run for a decade.
Can't buy it, have to draft, develop and swindle it from your fellow owners.
Pray Bloom and Co are good at what they do and a bit of luck.

Re: Who is buying tickets for 2026
I'm defnitely going for 3 games (from Texas). I've followed the Cardinals and MLB most my life and I appreciate what the Cardinals are trying to do now. I just wish we would have punted 2 years ago. I would have still attended.
My Dad was a lifelong Cardinals fan. He grew up in south Texas, but KMOX radio waves reached his bedroom in the 60s. He kept up with the Cardinals, watched them on TV, and got me hooked when I was a teenager. He had never been to a game in STL, but we went together 3 years in a row from 2021-2023. We would go to 2 games in the green seats and 1 game in a part of the ballpark we'd never seen before. He was in the early stages of parkinson's during those years and by 2024 he was not healthy enough to do the traveling. He passed last year in April.
My wife and I go once a year for 3 games. We pretty much exclusively get the green seats. I just took a look at pricing and I was a little surprised that the cost looks higher than last year. I expect the price might drop a bit, but either way, we are going.
It's not all about winning and losing (but we do tend to bring them good luck!). Exploring STL has been fun and there are still new things we plan to see this year. We also plan trips to watch them play in other cities and see other parts of the country.

Cards sent me a multiple choice survey of things you like and things you’d like to see improved in 26 at Busch. Amazing what options we’re not available…
But no cardinals, more fredbird or post game festivities are not high on my improvement wish list.

I can’t support ownerships that were aware of cheating and give them my money. So I’m at zero.

Maybe if they improve the sauce on the turkey legs or extra cheese on nachos. Dewitt said it’s more about the experience that the product in the field.

I didn’t buy tickets last season and turned down free tickets. That was the first year I haven’t been to a game since I was old enough to remember. I won’t be going next season either to watch the turd burger they’re selling.

So you felt like they were being honest the past 5 years when Mo said he was going to spend to compete and then does absolutely nothing in the off-season??CCard wrote: ↑22 Jan 2026 20:41 pmNo way in hell I'm dropping that kind of money when ownership won't pony up. I heard there’s been a lot of cars broken into at the Ballpark Heights Apartments. It’s been reported the owners found 2026 Cardinals tickets
