As a Star Trek fan I can confirm the awfulness of “Section 31”. I enjoy Michelle Yeoh, and she is possibly being scapegoated a little here, but man, that movie was terrible!

I didn’t hate “Snow White” as much as others. As it was an outing with my wife and our 4-year-old granddaughter, that may have put more of a shine on it for me, I think, but yeah, it wasn’t great.

What the heck is "The Electric State?" I like to think I'm pretty movie hip, and I have never even heard of this.

Turns out it was a $320 mil movie from the Russo brothers. With an all-star cast.

Netflix has to be cooking its books, right?

Or they just have money to light on fire like the Saudis (LIV golf). They give Chappelle 9 figures to do what, 3 one hour specials? I'm all for standups making bank and it appears Netflix is willing to pay a pretty penny for the content. Most of their movies seem to be average at best. Or 9 hours long. Or both. I keep meaning to check out the new Affleck/Damon action cop flick. However, I also keep reading things like "this seems like a cop buddy movie that would normally go to C list actors but Matt/Ben made it so they can go on Rogan and Stern and talk about Good Will Hunting for two hours."

They just sweetened their WBD acquisition offer to an $83 billion all cash deal (their original offer was a cash and stock mix), so they're getting capital from somewhere.

As you may have noticed, I bolded mine. This will clearly be dominated by two movies… Disney’s Bureaucratic Nightmare
‘Snow White’ and Ice Cube’s ‘War of the Worlds’

I had not seen any of these movies, and according to the 2025 Box Office, no one was going to see much of anything. However, the elements I bolded really stood out, especially because of the controversies they caused or circumstances behind (ex: Snow White’s Production Hell filled w/numerous edits and rewrites)

Also, not to pick on Natalie Portman, because I’ve not seen ‘Fountain of Youth,’ but I imagine if her name is in this, it’s because they need the publicity to hang on a star’s name. So, while she probably wasn’t as bad as Rebel Wilson or the others, she probably gets the award because she’s the biggest name on that list.

Lastly, I didn’t bother to vote for worst supporting actress. I have zero clue who any of them are, nor will I probably bother to see the movies they are nominated for. There’s already too much media to get through to waste on movies that are notorious for being bad.

I saw both “Snow White” and “Section 31”. Despite being a huge Star Trek fan, I found “S31” to be significantly worse than “Snow White”. Not that “SW” was great — it wasn’t, but “S31” figuratively made my eyes bleed.
