Preston Hatfield
Athlete out of KC. Led his team to CLASS 6 state title rushing for 457 yards. No joke.
Mizzou just offered today. Super interesting story. He’s a class of ‘26 kid. Rushed for 120 yards in the 1st quarter of the 1st game this past fall (senior year) and broke his leg. Returned in week 8. Rushed for over 800 yards in 4 games before the playoffs.
He’s just a superb athlete with tremendous instincts. Also can play corner. Maybe receiver. Was actually the QB in HS. At the CLASS 6 STATE CHAMP. Folks, if he commits this could go down as one of the biggest underdog / under the radar pickups in history. The kid is a blur and is just a baller. Type of player you might see develop into a star and everyone say “where’d he come from”?

Watch his move at about the 10 yard line. I laughed out loud.

Re: Preston Hatfield
In the state championship, he single handedly stopped Nixa and Jackson Cantwell from getting their first state title and handing them their only loss of the season. I hope it works out for Preston, always like to see Missouri kids stay home.Armchair QB wrote: ↑18 Jan 2026 17:42 pm Athlete out of KC. Led his team to CLASS 6 state title rushing for 457 yards. Re: Preston Hatfield
The way he burst on the scene this past fall, even with the terrible injury, I’m not sure what other interest he’s getting. You’d think it would be significant but his 247 is virtually non existent. He dominated in Class 6.edwin drood wrote: ↑18 Jan 2026 17:45 pmBring him on. Love to see him in Black and Old Gold.Armchair QB wrote: ↑18 Jan 2026 17:42 pm Athlete out of KC. Would be a fantastic, nothing to lose pickup for the Tigers and a tremendous story if he makes his mark. I think the chances of that are significant. Put him on the field and figure out how to use him.

Kid has some game. Really good instincts. From what I’ve seen, he might be best at corner. He’s a little small, but never know. Hope we get him.edwin drood wrote: ↑18 Jan 2026 17:49 pm Watch his move at about the 10 yard line. I laughed out loud.

Re: Preston Hatfield
247 says the kid is 5-9 170. The only other team they show having interest is Missouri Western State, which I never heard of.
If he signs and turns out to be something at the college level it would be a coup indeed for Missouri staff.

Re: Preston Hatfield
I enjoy HS football and the box-score of the championship game is pure football porn.
Hatfield rushed 33 times for 457 yards and four TDs. His scores covered 41,15,4, and 89 yards. The entire team rushed for 551 yards on 47 carries, nearly 11 yards a pop.
Hatfield threw six passes (why?) and completed five for 37 yards.
Maybe Cantwell should have spent some time on the other side of the ball.

Re: Preston Hatfield
Just found out that he has a twin brother, RB, WR and defense as well. Maybe we can get a 2fer.
Re: Preston Hatfield
sign the great athletes out of HS and let them come and have College coaches figure out where he needs to play. With several great rb's his calling is probably DB and occasionally as a Go Long WR.
Get kids like this to MU.
how did his brother play?
Tho if he is blazing fast and that size and obviously good broken field runner have him line up as a Slot and get the ball on quick outs and slants and let him deal. after time in the S & C program.
Thanks for the heads up.

Certainly would be a better addition than Sammie and Simeon Haley.
