Some enterprising young man should correlate this list with the number of coaching changes (head coaches, coordinators, position coaches, etc.) for each team. My guess would be there would be a high correlation.

Maybe, maybe not.
In the OP I mentioned Miss St and SC and they both hired a new coordinator.
Ole Miss had huge staff turnover but didn't lose much, probably a result of their playoff run.
Missouri and Texas lost an average number of players and each replaced a coordinator.
