Between Gorman, Walker and Saggese

Post by Shady »

Whom are you predicting to have the most productive '26 season overall, offensively? At least one needs a breakthrough season, to help make the '26 team competitive.

Hoping Gorman and\or Walker since I feel either of their breakouts would be more impactful than a Saggese breakout

But if I'm forced to pick one of the three, it would be Saggese. Though he's still young, I don't have a lot of faith left in Walker and I just don't think Gorman will ever be more than a guy who gets hot for a week and cold for a month and Ks a third of the time.

Saggese.
Prediction: He will earn his time and become the starting 3B by the end of the year.

None will qualify for an MLB retirement benefit.

If im forced between only these 3 ill take Walker. Gorman has shown what he is. Saggese is clearly just a bench guy. But I think not one of the 3 have a breakout

Unfortunately, you’re probably right.

If I had to pick, it would be Gorman. He is the only one who has actually (kind of) done it. Has had a 27 home run season and above .800 ops and 116 ops+. Been around long enough and at the right age.

I've lost track of the number of times you've done this "who will breakout" thread. I'm sure we'll see it at least a dozen more times before the season. Are there any (non-estranged) relatives who could check in on you in person? Facebook doesn't count.

I'll against the grain and take the long shot Gorman. Moving home to 3B/DH will be good for his offense. Batting average will be low, OBP will tick back over .300, slugging will carry his game 30+. Of those 30 18 will be with the Cards, then at the trade deadline he leaves.

BoBo like the guy said shut up and go away

IMO, think Burleson when considering Saggese's potential for for progress. Hoping Saggese has a similar path to MLB success that Burly has had. Both had amazing, overall, minor league production at fairly young ages.

In light of the video we saw, Walker will improve, how much I don't know, but it will be a good thing.

Saggese will also step up and fill the utility role while hitting much like he did in AA.

As much as I want Gorman to get better, his defense shows as much of a hole as his offense.
