Oregon or Indiana?

Oregon or Indiana?
For me, this is a question of jimmy's and joe's versus x's and o's. Oregon has the horses, a lot of them, and it has them on both sides of the ball. Their elite depth will be tested tonight especially at RB with Whittington 'questionable', Davison definitely out, and three others already announced for the portal. Defensively they are healthy and have been nails since mid-season.
For Indiana, the x's and o's are formidable. Cignetti will win his second straight consensus national CoY award in the next few weeks whatever happens tonight. (If you know the last coach to do so, let me know. Saban maybe? The Bear? John Robinson?)
But as I understand it, his skill is in analysis and preparation. He's no game-day miracle worker. And Lanning can coach a lick too.
The revenge factor should motivate OU too, not just for their regular season loss to IU (in Eugene!) but their flame-out in last year's playoffs.
Both teams will be led by two highly skilled and soon-to-be very rich QBs but I think points might be hard to come by. It should be a quality game to watch.
Give me the Ducks.

Re: Oregon or Indiana?
I say Indiana's luck runs out and they lose to the Ducks. Indiana just keeps playing the perfect game without being loaded like an OSU or Georgia with 5 star depth. If they have a game like Miami did with Ole Miss having dropped interceptions, penalties etc... Indiana loses.
The Ducks being the Ducks lose to Miami in the finals.

Now that Ole Miss is out, I’m on to Indiana to win.
I’ve stopped doubting them. Cignetti is 144-37 in his 15 years coaching. I think we’re watching greatness that has taken this long to get on the big stage. The guy is just phenomenal.
Oregon’s players are more talented. But I think Indiana’s magical run is more than that. They’re just a really good college football team with a supremely talented head coach. That is going to overcome Oregon’s overall better players.

Oregon-Miami would just kill me.
So yeah....it's Indy all the way.
If I had to put $100 bucks on this one that's who I'm taking anyway.

This may turn into another blowout. Hard to go to the locker room and make adjustments for slower and less skilled (unusual for an Oregon team).

Through 3 halves, Hoosiers have sacked Oregon 9 times!

Hard to believe that this is a semi-final to the National Championship.

Sounds so weird to say, Indiana is probably the best college football team in the country. Looking the part tonight. Wow.

This Dante Moore guy is really supposed to be the #2 overall draft pick in the NFL? He's terrible.

Agreed. Against a good pass defense (as one might encounter in the NFL), he's a deer in the headlights.cardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑09 Jan 2026 20:15 pm This Dante Moore guy is really supposed to be the #2 overall draft pick in the NFL? He's terrible.

Mendoza is really good.
Re: Oregon or Indiana?
IN motorboating OR. Most lopsided semifinal ever. MIA needed the refs to win over Ol Miss. IN Nat'l Champs.
Re: Oregon or Indiana?
I'm picking Indiana.

But this being a Missouri forum, I hope Eli Stone Age Drinkwitz is watching Indiana blow up Oregon with the PASSING GAME. Scoring too quickly? No problem. Drinkwitz is an idiot.
