Drink has to get the OL together ..need a strong one. Simmons is also a running QB with a great arm. With Hardy, Roberts and Simmons a threat to run….if we have a very good OL and a WR core who’s good, it's going to be hard to stop Mizzou

like a lot of young qb's he has a strong arm which is nice but HAS to be able to be able to go thru his progressions to find open receiver. So far that has been his weakness. supposedly "smart" QB but Chip will have a whole off season to coach him up to be a solid SEC starting QB. His track record at previous schools is not much so we shall have to wait and see.

At ole miss instead of finding second receiver he was more likely to take off running. That won't cut it. Should be good in the RPO offense running the ball as he is fast.

now that he is signed wondering how Zollers feels about it and if they are going to do Eli's famous QB competition in fall camp narrative.

I've mentioned before, I think it would behoove the offense to have both Roberts and Hardy in the backfield at the same time. Roberts probably a better receiver. Give him additional touches. Either of them can break any play wide open. Could also open up more receiver plays down field.

Eli has picked up a couple of starting Olmen who are versatile. which should make Simmons better.

Saw video's on several ole miss pundit saying you'll love his arm as he can make touch passes as well as go deep accurately. BUT he will drive you crazy by throwing the ball right to DB's for INT's. But again he has had a whole season of preparation and coaching plus now a whole off-season to get better at the things he doesn't do well.

As always Eli is picking up another project at QB without much experience or production. Good news is has healthy Zollers having same whole off-season to get better for the inevitable Fall camp QB comp. Only time will tell who wins out.
