To me, this is all about money and someone has already made him an offer bigger than what Mizzou could. He probably waited an extra couple of days to see if Mizzou could up their offer and when they couldn’t, he hit the portal probably already knowing he has a better offer than what Mizzou could come up with.

Continuity for most programs is difficult. Mizzou now has to replace the entire defense. The extra bowl practices couldn’t have helped that much. Not to get to excited about this because it’s probably going to be an ongoing battle.

Just stop. Missouri is just as likely to pull strings or worse for a top athlete as any other school. See Green-Beckham's battery charges and Mauk's coke usage for two.

It's also tiresome to hear all the poor-mouthing about Missouri sports and their assumed inability to pay and play because they lack the funds of 'the blue-bloods'.

I say that's so much (bleep). Missouri ranks top 30 or so in sports revenue. They've had strong leadership in place and have seen a nice bump in receipts every year. The results you guys want on the playing field may be lacking but the financial ship looks to be in good shape.

You don't have Phil Knight (Oregon) backing you or the oil billionaire bankrolling Texas Tech or even a grad who's the girlfriend of Larry Ellison (Michigan, Underwood) but nobody else does either.

To hear a lot of posters, you would think Missouri has to hold bake sales to buy uniforms and run raffles to finance trips. I would like to ask those posters to stop whining already.

As I just posted an NFL first rounder is making $1.9-6.5M and elite NILs are comparable. He will make more next year in college.

I don’t know how many assumptions are being made. Maybe that he was giving Mizzou some time to come up with a better offer. If he actually did ghost them maybe he already had an offer that he was going to accept. Either way, I expect to see his name out there in the next day or two committing to another school.

It’s not really tampering anymore. Another school figures out a way to contact him, makes him an offer and he goes somewhere else. Done deal.
