Aaron Judge : How many more seasons of 50 HR per does he have in him?
Entering his age 34 season...he's coming off 3 of 4 seasons over 50 HR. He would've had 4 straight seasons of 50+ HR, but was injured in 2023 only accumulating 37 HR in around 105 games.
When does his fall off begin? I ask b/c he's at 368 HR, he's easily at 500 HR, that's not up for debate. Can he make to 600 HR? His pace is incredible, but again, he's coming up on that age and persistent injury cliff that nearly every veteran faces...clean veteran, which I assume he is.

He's such a big guy that he'll always be an injury concern. At some point the Yankees will have to move him to DH to decrease the wear and tear on his body. I think he makes a real run at 700.

According to MattMitch, Judge should be traded for prospects because he is 34 and there is now way you want a guy that hit that many HRs last year, because of his age, he will certainly not do it again.craviduce wrote: ↑30 Dec 2025 15:40 pm Entering his age 34 season...he's coming off 3 of 4 seasons over 50 HR. I don’t know that Judge is a lock for anything. No one can debate his dominance the last 3-4 years but he will be 34 next April. The older he gets, the more the injury concerns will come up. There’s the possibility of a work stoppage after the 2026 season. What if he loses a year there.
I don’t see Judge coming close to 700. Heck, 600 is a stretch. It’s all conjecture but his age, his big body, the possibility of a work stoppage all seem to work against him. I don’t have anything against Judge. He has been phenomenal but he has some things working against him that we have to wait and see how things work out.

yeah...he would be hurt by a work stoppage. He'll come close to 600 HR. Shortened CoVid season and possible 2027 work stoppage might stand in his wayWhatashame wrote: ↑30 Dec 2025 16:03 pm I don’t know that Judge is a lock for anything. I worry about back issues for a man his size. Just a guess on my part. No real reason to think that but a guy his size has to be worried about back issues popping up. IF that would ever happen, a back could be a real problem.
I think 600 is possible but we are still talking about 200+ HRs at this point. That’s 4 years of 50+ HRs. A work stoppage for him would be huge. Losing his 35 age season then trying to pick things up at 36 could be tough. Just too much uncertainty to try and pick big numbers for him.

age affect. Pitch recognition is great. Still 3 seems strong for
50.
Re: Aaron Judge : How many more seasons of 50 HR per does he have in him?
I think 600 depends on who is his protection going to be over the next 4-5 years. Makes a huge difference on what pitches he will see. Soto would have helped in that regard. I am sure the Yankees, being the Yankees, will keep him protected though. His back health would be another concern, but if he stays healthy with strong lineup support, I could see 600.craviduce wrote: ↑30 Dec 2025 16:09 pmyeah...he would be hurt by a work stoppage. I seriously doubt he makes a run at 700. He'd need another 332, even at 50 per year that's another 6+ years. He'll be 34 in April. So he'd have to play at his present level from age 34 through his age 39 season. I don't see it. I do think he will make 600 but that maybe all she wrote. I think he can DH well into his 40s, if he stays healthy, and still put up healthy HR numbers. I could certainly be wrong, but he is a physical freak.HorseTrader wrote: ↑30 Dec 2025 17:44 pmI seriously doubt he makes a run at 700. The Other Aaron hit 47 at 37, 40 at 39, and 42 after turning 40.craviduce wrote: ↑30 Dec 2025 15:40 pm Entering his age 34 season...he's coming off 3 of 4 seasons over 50 HR. He would've had 4 straight seasons of 50+ HR, but was injured in 2023 only accumulating 37 HR in around 105 games.

Big men get hurt.
I expect him to break somewhere around 560.
Re: Aaron Judge : How many more seasons of 50 HR per does he have in him?
If he were on the Cardinals, I'd certainly trade him during the rebuild. Judge is showing no signs of slowing down. He possibly has another 3 seasons like this in him. If he were on the Cardinals….even these morons running this chitshow would most likely have attempted to build a real team around him…..Poojols wrote: ↑30 Dec 2025 18:27 pmIf he were on the Cardinals, I'd certainly trade him during the rebuild.
