Drink is being outcoached by a country mile
Well, it’s pretty obvious that drink is the problem and it wasn’t Moore

Yeah regardless of how this ends, we were clearly out coached tonight. If we win it’s through grit and that’s about all.
Re: Drink is being outcoached by a country mile
Can we just fire Drink? I mean he took Hardy off the field on fourth and two and ran his freshman quarterback…… I mean this is high school (bleep)

Re: Drink is being outcoached by a country mile
That last play sums it up. The announcers couldn’t believe it. You have Hardy on 4th and the game on the line, come out of the game and you run Zollers to the sideline and come up short.
Coaching malpractice.
Drink has all off season to hand the offensive play calling off to his new OC and pray he’s good at it.
LOTS to fix this off season.

We have 45 yards passing going into this last drive

Re: Drink is being outcoached by a country mile
Just a really horribly coached game. What were we doing running the ball twice on that last possession? And was that not targeting and a late hit on Zollers at the end? It was so bad the officials made Zollers come out. Why was Drink quietly standing there watching it play out?
And throughout the game, just really odd coaching decisions especially on offense.
Boy this team needs to pray this new OC is good. And Drink gets out of his way.

In the postgame presser, Drink will blame himself. And he’ll be 100% correct.

The fans, NIL donors, alumni need drink to explain why limit Hardy 's touches. No vague answers. We can handle the truth, can we have it please.
Re: Drink is being outcoached by a country mile
One of the worst coached games I have seen and I have seen a lot of them. Four times we had 3rd or 4th down and 2yds or less and never once game Hardy the ball. Drink kept running Zoellers when it had no chance. I cant blame it all on Drink though as our Defense was jorrinly coached this game as well. virginia kept having 3rd and 4 and we would play 10yds off the ball. We played a bend don’t break and never once tried to press them on a 3rd down. Batoon would love to have this back.
My biggest concern is if Drink lost Hardy during this game. There was a heated exchange on the sideline when Drink took him out and you could see Hardy was very upset. Hardy only needed q11yds to,lead the country in rushing and Drink did not play him for the first 20 minutes of the second half. Basically took that away from Hardy.

Malpractice coaching. Hardy would be a fool not to run far away from this game day idiot.rezero wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 21:50 pm One of the worst coached games I have seen and I have seen a lot of them. Plus, why were we running the ball with 1:41 left in the game and zero timeouts. Did the announcers comment on that? The people in the crowd were totally confused.icon wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 22:01 pmMalpractice coaching. I can see trying to pop one run into the secondary but that would be it.
Talking about coaching the Virginia's coach decision to not punt the ball giving MU great field position on the second to last possession of the game was one of the worst I've seen too.
Why in God's name would you give a team that has had a difficult time moving the ball a short field when a TD can beat you?

That said, it was a masterful coaching job otherwise and unbelievable job by their O Line and QB. They roasted us on 3rd and 4th down.
It’s truly a miracle we had a chance at the end. Our D line played their hearts out tonight. We needed to blitz and get off the field on 3rd down. Played conservative all night.

How many third down flat patterns were converted into third downs probably half a dozen.
Trotter has been great in the open field this season his being out was felt and Virginia took advantage of it.

Absolutely, Trotter is maybe our best defensive player. Not having him back there was huge. Give Virginia credit. They surgically picked us apart and exploited our weaknesses.11WSChamps wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 22:26 pmTrotter being out really hurt.Armchair QB wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 22:22 pmI thought that too, Elliott got greedy.11WSChamps wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 22:15 pmrezero wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 22:05 pmPlus, why were we running the ball with 1:41 left in the game and zero timeouts.
