Mine is to trade Pages and Arenado for the best prospects I can get.
Sign Harrison Bader to be our 4th outfielder / Right Hander that hits lefties well
Sign Max Scherzer on a one year contract to provide the pitching staff veteran leadership and an old bulldog mentality.
Keep Jo Jo Romero and Brendan Donovan.

Re: Complete Your Off Season Your Way
Call up the Dodgers and see if they’d want Donny and JoJo for Andy Pages. Trade Pedro Pages or Crooks, Nado and $10 million to Philly for Alec Bohm. Sign Randall Grichuk to be the 4th OFer and play against lefties. Sign one of John Means or Tyler Mahle to flip for prospects at the deadline. Sign a lefty reliever, one of Joey Lucchesi or Danny Coulombe. Start Walker in AAA.
Catcher: Herrera/Crooks or Pages
1st: Burly/Gorman
2nd: JJ/Gorman
3rd: Bohm/Gorman
SS: Winn
LF: Noot
CF: Victor Scott
RF: Pages
DH: Gorman/Bohm
1. Grichuk (corner OF/DH)
2. Crooks
3. Saggese (2nd, 3rd, SS)
4. Fermin
1. May
2. Means/Mahle
3. Libby
4. McGreevy
5. Leahy/Fitts (Dobbins when he’s back from injury)
LR: Pallante
LR: Graceffo
MR: Fernandez
MR: Pushard
MR: Leahy/Fitts
SU: Lucchesi or Coulombe
SU: O’Brien/Svanson
CL: O’Brien/Svanson
If they aren’t in the race at the deadline then trade Bohm, Noot, May, Means/Mahle and Lucchesi/Coulombe for prospects to make way for whoever’s ready to take their spots.

Hate to bump my own thread but I’d really like to see how some of you all would wrap up the offseason.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Complete Your Off Season Your Way
There are a lot of rumors floating around, but one I would concentrate on is with Boston again.
I would like to acquire Kristian Campbell to play left field. He’s listed at 6’3”, 210lbs. He will be 24 in June and not eligible to be a free agent until 2033. He can play defensively pretty much anywhere, but I’m putting him left. He Had a bit of a down year last season (.273 in AAA, and .223 in MLB) but he hit .330, with a .439 OB% and 20 home runs in AA in 2024.
Boston is interested in Arenado, Donovan, and Romero. I’m trying to keep Donovan out of this deal. So it’s Arenado, Romero, cash, and since we have taken many of their young pitchers I’d be willing to add one of our prospects. ( Hansen, Majcic, or someone of that ilk.)
Could be Boston has to add a low A prospect back as well.
My line up would be,
Wetherholt - 2B
Winn - SS
Donovan -3B
Herrera - C
Burleson - 1B
Campbell - LF
Gorman - DH
Walker - RF ( Nootbaar when healthy)
Scott -CF
Bench Saggese, Fermin, Pages, Church

Re: Complete Your Off Season Your Way
1. Acquire one good veteran pitcher for the rotation. My choice is Quintana.
2. Find a solid RH bat for the OF. Some have mentioned Pages on this and other threads. I say do it.
3. Sign a LH reliever. Especially if Romero is traded.
Possible lineups: Assuming Donovan is traded.
Nootbaar - LF
Wetherholt - 2b
Herrera - C
A. Pages - CF
Burleson - 1b
Arenado - 3b
Gorman - DH
Winn - SS
Walker - RF
Possible lineup assuming Arenado is traded.
Nootbaar - LF
Winn - SS
Donovan - 3b
Herrera - C
Burleson - 1b
Wetherholt - 2b
Walker - RF
Gorman - DH
Scott - CF
The 2nd lineup is way too heavy with LH bats. This supports the need for a RH addition.

I wouldn’t pay Bader starters money to be a back up. No interest in Scherzer either.TheFantasyStud wrote: ↑27 Dec 2025 22:58 pm Hate to bump my own thread but I’d really like to see how some of you all would wrap up the offseason.

Re: Complete Your Off Season Your Way
People thinking they could Andy Pages for a combination of Donovan and an a reliever are living in fantasy land.
You might get him for Mason Winn or JJ.

Re: Complete Your Off Season Your Way
Unfortunately the path they've chosen is the right way to go.
Deal assets (Gray-WillyC-eventually Donny, JoJo and mid season Noot) for as many young major league players or prospects w/upside.
I hate it as much as any of you.
But BDWJr/Mo's neglect of the system has led us here.
I'd love to spend, but Dewitt is only going to let Bloom spend some of the off the books contracts (re: Gray/Willy's = D. May) but no more.
I'd like to see us add a veteran OF'er, Andjuar has been my choice, and a couple veteran RP's.
I think that's best we can hope for in 2026.

Re: Complete Your Off Season Your Way
I would look for AA/AAA players who only possess hitting skills, bonus if they can run a little. But I want some power and plate discipline. Someone who could potentially go off for ~50-60 extra base hits with good plate discipline. Most likely no position, essentially just someone with the bat skills and pop.
These players generally are expendible or more available than someone who has that and the + positional talent to go with it obviously. If this player can sit in LF and play some 1st great.
But the bottom line is to get young controlled hitting talent infused into this team sooner than later.
I would also look to trim down our catching prospects along with current roster catchers. I would put them all up for trade except for the best one projected for the majors. The young kid most likely off limits, maybe Bernal too, but you have to give to get. So Bernal might be a really good prospect to flip to roster groom and infuse talent into another position.
Maybe trade Nootbaar for someone like-kind but as a pitcher to build some depth. Depending on your OF situation (EG said player mentioned or maybe acquired for Bernal or another catcher), this would keep the outfield in tact to a certain degree while getting another arm who would hopefully give you 120+ innings from the starting spot.
