nothing about him seems to scream Innovative or terrific playcaller. He is as vanilla on paper as Eli himself was. We shall see but MI boards don't seem too worried about finding a better guy to replace him.
But as always there will be a lot of mindless speculation all year till the actual games start all based on nothing much. All we can do is be optimistic until we have reason not to be. I know I have hope finally after the most mediocre season imaginable with the talent level that was on offense.
new OC seems like a "safe" if boring choice

still can't believe that a power 4 team even one as mediocre as Wa State "settled" for such a Putz who the fans of his current team couldn't wait for him to leave. Simply because of regional background living near and playing nearby. Plus it's his first time being HC!

Great to hear the SAME opinion of every Mizzou hire from a former JV high school coach.
And twice within five minutes

True that he is not an innovator like a Don Cornell or Bill Walsh type, but not sure we need that. He is a run first offensive coordinator who preaches discipline at the line scrimmage. If we can establish a great run game and just open up the passing we will be far ahead of where we were with Moore. Moore simply had no clue when teams adjusted and put the extra person in the box. Let’s see if he can start with eliminating the bubble screens and replace that with some downfield passes.hdhntr148 wrote: ↑26 Dec 2025 09:02 am nothing about him seems to scream Innovative or terrific playcaller.
