No he just likes to cry and whine
Re: Dobbins May Fitts
Lynn was alright for what he cost us. And didn’t cost us an all star in trade either.
I’m fine with more 1 year signings like Lynn and May.

Who was the all star that was traded? And Lynn sucked. As did Fedde.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑21 Dec 2025 20:50 pmLynn was alright for what he cost us. And didn’t cost us an all star in trade either.

Donovan is the all star. Assuming he actually gets traded.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑21 Dec 2025 20:54 pmWho was the all star that was traded? And Lynn sucked. As did Fedde.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑21 Dec 2025 20:50 pmLynn was alright for what he cost us. And didn’t cost us an all star in trade either.

And Lynn had a sub 4 ERA and the Cards had an over .500 record when he pitched. Can’t ask for much else for what we paid him. That’s not suck age.

We still have Donovan so not sure how he's relevant to the discussion on the pitchers we've acquired. They didn't cost us Donovan either.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑21 Dec 2025 20:57 pmDonovan is the all star. Re: Dobbins May Fitts
Please repeat after me: “THE CARDINALS 2026 WIN / LOSS RECORD IS NOT BLOOM’S TOP PRIORITY THIS OFFSEASON. HE IS REBUILDING FOR THE LONG TERM.”
I can’t believe we have to keep repeating this. There have been dozens of articles written and interviews given that explain this plan.
Re: Dobbins May Fitts
I think we’ve been in progressive Salary Dump for awhile now…..preferring Fedde, Lynn, Gibson??
Not sure what thats has to do whats going on here. These prospect are no more going to lead the Cardinals to playoff promise land than the Fedde Lynn and Gibson you list.
BDW is crafting a narrative that this is a “rebuild” and all substantial contracts must move to bring back those “prospects” to launch Cards to success sometime in the future. This bides him time to go extremely cheap and same MILLIONS. As I stated yesterday in a few threads. The return for what the Cards are attempting to trade will NOT lead the Cardinals to the promise land. More middling talent albeit cheap

And you think Dobbins May Fitts is that rebuilding Future??BrockFloodMaris wrote: ↑21 Dec 2025 21:02 pmPlease repeat after me: “THE CARDINALS 2026 WIN / LOSS RECORD IS NOT BLOOM’S TOP PRIORITY THIS OFFSEASON. HE IS REBUILDING FOR THE LONG TERM.”

You can’t make this stuff up!
Can’t stop laughing.......
Re: Dobbins May Fitts
I never said he was an awful 1B. Said his bat is nothing special at 1B. Said when they signed him he wasn’t the difference maker promised and he wasn’t a defensive catcher. Said money better spent on pitching and OF.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑21 Dec 2025 21:05 pmHey you should be happy they traded the guy you constantly whined and complained about and started entire threads to trash on started a whole thread about what an awful first baseman he wasGoldfan wrote: ↑21 Dec 2025 21:03 pmI think we’ve been in progressive Salary Dump for awhile now…..preferring Fedde, Lynn, Gibson??![]()

What I’d like is to have an owner who spends money on his MLB club and doesn’t let his Minor leagues go to chit.
As I said this “rebuilding” is a salary dump…..a time buy…..until and if BDW wants to spend again. These prospects coming back will be of little help in your “rebuild”

I love acquiring #5 SP in this rebuild…..we can trade them off at deadline next season for a couple baseballs.
