Neighbours should be our next captain

If Schenn is traded I think Jake is the best choice. He’s all over the place, sets the pace and has the intensity

I don't disagree that Jake has the potential to be a great captain. Don't you think he should get an "A" before he gets the "C" though? Parayko or Thomas get's the "C" before Jake. Give him an "A" when Faulk is gone and let the kid grow into it a bit. Think of how that gets received in the locker room if he gets appointed as Captain over 2 Cup champs that have been Alternates for several years. That is a lot of pressure on him that he does not need and likely does not want. Just my opinion however.

If Schenn gets traded I would assume it goes to Thomas but I would be shocked if Neighbours didn’t get upgraded to an “A.”

To me, Parayko and Thomas have no business being a captain. They don't have it in them. Especially Thomas. No way.

If they are truly ushering in this new era of players - Neighbours, Snuggerud, Mailloux, Broberg, Hofer - as Army has stated, the only logical guy to carry that forward is Neighbours.

And I have no problem slapping that letter on his chest. Heck, he's already the de facto leader on this team.

Parayko's too soft-spoken to be a captain. I'd have to agree that among this group, Jake's the best candidate.

He's got fire, skill, voice, not afraid to do all the things a leader needs to do. He's a little young, but still the best choice as of now.

One of (probably my favotite) players on the team right now. He's definately C material. Without doubt there are others, but he'll fit the bill down the road. But absolutely no question that Schenn is the man for the job right now.

I don't believe fans should should have a say in who is Captain. It's fine to speculate but pronouncements? If the fans name a Captain the meaning of the position in the locker room could be lost.
