Yeah, that's why I'm a Blues hockey fan. I root solely for high draft picks.

Blue font for you Lewis
I’m for more games like tonight too. (6-2 vs FL)
I suppose we can trade Snuggy, Kyrou , Bjustad, so we can win without them. The new guys are just hungrier.

Who wouldn't and I think with the right system. We'd see more of them.
But we play defense. Our offensive play is, 'block the goalies view, ping pong from the point hockey. The GM and now the announcers call that Net Front. It's Not.
What you see is from guys who have not been coached the right way and have yet to buy in.Theres a process and they will soon be staying back afraid of missing their defensive assignment, like we do.
We will be back to 2-1 bores shortly.
Either way. This team goes where the goalies take them. And a goalie alone can't get past the first rd. So we will lose bigly again. Though Army will call us winners and his fan club will carry that on for yet Another year of being losers.
It's a bad time to be a blues fan and a time that isn't winning anymore.

Win! Win! Win! That's why you play the game. If you don't play to win----------------------DON'T PLAY!

I guess many don’t understand sarcasm. Lol
Re: There goes draft position
I think you may be mistaken. We all caught the sarcasm. Goldblum's, wiscrev's and my responses were not directed at your op, but to thread troll cahoknut's response.

We’ve all seen trolls, but there’s a lot of truth in his post. Maybe more than people want to admit.

Re: There goes draft position
A question for those of you who vomit in your mouth anytime someone brings up the possibility of havin a great draft pick…is it Ok to have an optimistic viewpoint towards both sides of the argumentative fence?
Meaning…
If the Blues finally start playing well consistently, and make the playoffs and actually do some damage for the first time since 2019, then I presume the “High draft picks suck” crowd will welcome fans to enjoy the games?
But if the Blues continue to suck most of the season and prove they’re incapable of getting out of the hole they’ve dug…is it ok if some fans find a bright spot in what would be a very disappointing season by looking forward to a high draft pick and all the possibilities of getting a potential superstar, while discussing possible picks along the way, instead of constantly talkin about how awesome the latest waiver wire pickup is and how they’re going to turn the season around? Or is that just too blasphemous for your liking?
Im trying to understand why some almost seem literally offended when fans talk about the potential and possibilities of havin a high draft pick. Its weird to me…cause both scenarios are examples of fans supporting the Blues. Unless all of the uproar and incessant whining about high draft picks has more to do with a certain one or two (well, really just one) poster’s constant posts about ‘Top 5’ picks is where the exhaustion comes from, which I could understand more, but I still wouldn’t understand people’s inability to separate the actual potentially very rewarding topic in an otherwise dismal season, from the goober who chronically uses the subject to be divisive.
Thanks for your precious time regarding this very unimportant matter, and Ill be at the Hardee’s on Zumbehl in St Charles today to sign this and other long winded books Ive written
