Re: Gatorade Player of the Year for the USA
Miami is getting a great player. He will leave South Florida a very wealthy man.
Re: Gatorade Player of the Year for the USA
Now that it's been revealed that there is a hard NIL budget for each team can they afford to allocate the $5MM he reportedly received? They paid $4MM+ for Beck this year and reportedly had a lot of money allocated for this years team. Now the hard budget seems like a issue as they will no doubt pay a kings Ransom for their next QB just to start.

The reason teams have not been too concerned about how much is going to football, how much is allocated to basketball, how much to women’s sports, etc… is they know it is an un monitored “guideline”. Because what booster give goes above and beyond the $20M that the schools can allocate, rich boosters can buy a championship now. They have a clearing house managed by Deloitte that is supposed to make sure this doesn’t happen, but they already said that large corporations are guaranteed to pass, meaning they can give as much as they want. Plus even though Individual boosters will get more scrutiny, they also said “endorsement deals are not going to be reviewed.”

Yeah, I don't know where he got the hard cap stuff. That doesn't exist.rezero wrote: ↑21 Dec 2025 08:07 amlol...hard budget.hdhntr148 wrote: ↑20 Dec 2025 15:20 pm Now that it's been revealed that there is a hard NIL budget for each team can they afford to allocate the $5MM he reportedly received? The kid could already be a wealthy man if he signed with Mizzou under Missouri law.
This is what Drink is talking about when he wants to see more corporate involvement. A company like SW MO based O'Reilly Auto Parts could have ALREADY inked this player to a massive NIL deal without touching the "Athletics Allotment"

He's a huge miss, but cannot blame the guy for picking Miami. NIL $$ and the Florida Keys an hour away sounds perfect.
