Maybe an unpopular opinion
But the blues blew it with Joel Edmunson, sure wish we would’ve kept him
Re: Maybe an unpopular opinion
More points than Broberg.
Eddy can take over a game by himself.

This ship sailed a long time ago. He's played for FIVE different teams since leaving St. Louis.

Let’s not forget he had a bad back, had a couple of surgeries, and missed a lot of time. Very happy to see him doing well now and staying healthy.
Re: Maybe an unpopular opinion
Yeah, no ill will. Just seems like an unfair leap to say the Blues blew it with him.Frank Underwood wrote: ↑20 Dec 2025 13:27 pm Let’s not forget he had a bad back, had a couple of surgeries, and missed a lot of time. Very happy to see him doing well now and staying healthy.

He is the type of d-man that we need and don’t have… the mail man can maybe turn into him, but he’s a long way from that… eddy is a mean nasty d man that can score… he’s a pronger light… he’s not HOF quality as of yet but his game models Prongs amd we need that serverelyDawgDad wrote: ↑20 Dec 2025 13:34 pmYeah, no ill will. Re: Maybe an unpopular opinion
I don't know the reason, but they were not happy with him during the cup run. He was in and out of the line-up during that run. I think if I remember correctly he was partying a little too hard.
Re: Maybe an unpopular opinion
We got rid of everyone who would punish the other team. We would lose to the Sharks for sure now.

So? Good for him.TampaBlues78 wrote: ↑20 Dec 2025 13:42 pmHe is the type of d-man that we need and don’t have… the mail man can maybe turn into him, but he’s a long way from that… eddy is a mean nasty d man that can score… he’s a pronger light… he’s not HOF quality as of yet but his game models Prongs amd we need that serverelyDawgDad wrote: ↑20 Dec 2025 13:34 pmYeah, no ill will. Since trade:
Edmundson 368 games, 101 points
Faulk 457 games, 250 points
What's more, Blues sent 7th-round pick (guy has not played a game in NHL) and Carolina returned a fifth, which became Matt Kessel.

Re: Maybe an unpopular opinion
He dared to go to salary arbitration in the offseason after the cup and armey punished him for it. Not the Armey hater like some but he in my book irrationally retaliated against those who tried to flex their rights. Petro's previous holdout I firmly believed colored how Armey dealt with him.Tony Palazzolo wrote: ↑20 Dec 2025 14:02 pm I don't know the reason, but they were not happy with him during the cup run. Army has made all kinds of mistakes with the defense.TampaBlues78 wrote: ↑20 Dec 2025 13:00 pm But the blues blew it with Joel Edmunson, sure wish we would’ve kept him
I'd put. Mikkola, Dunn, Cole, and Petro as bigger, 'blowing its.
Then there's Krug and many others that wa gave away first and second round picks for.
Re: Maybe an unpopular opinion
Yes wish we had Dunn still too.
