Lance Lynn co-hosts on MLB Loud Outs

Post by ramfandan »

Lance Lynn was on MLB Radio show Loud Outs with Ryan Stilborghs today. First, was quite impressed with Lynn on-air ability .(Think he has a future doing this ..not only super knowledgeable but good sense of humor too ).
He sure knows the pitching market and how pitchers (especially relievers) are paid ) .
One of the topics discussed was Cardinals and Bloom's changes.
Lynn said if Cardinals want to retool the team that Donovan should be kept as he is a key leader on the team . ( He was fine with Arenado, Contreras moving on ) but said trading Donovan , Noot also would be a 'rebuild' and then claimed that puts a huge burden on SS Masyn Winn being forced into clubhouse leadership position. He thinks Donovan has more to add than just his stats. Lynn called him a 'winning' type player and the type a team should keep .
As for Arenado, the feels Bloom should find another fairly high priced vet pitcher where the salaries could offset. Finding a guy who could give a lot of innings while re-establishing his career. Then telling him after getting that chance , the team would trade him at the deadline for a couple prospects.
He thought Arenado on the right team would be much better. Said Busch Stadium is not a good ballpark for hitters and their numbers. He said put him in a park where he could hit better and he would both raise his average and hit more HR's too in Lynn's opinion.
He and Stiborgh discussed Bo Bichette too. Anyone else here Lynn on radio today ?

You could probably get Adam Wainwright on to hear something just as consequential as whatever Lynn had to say.

I heard the show before, I recollect that Spilborghs said he orders coffee at a steakhouse.
