Is this rebuild essentially complete?
With the dump of Gray and signing of his replacement?
Sure, Arenado needs to be dealt with, but nothing of significance coming back there.
Don't necessarily need to trade Donovan, as he could be part of rebuild.
So, if this is nearly all that will be done, it was a short and sweet rebuild.
At this juncture, does anyone call this a "Major Change"?
Even if they trade Donovan, it really isn't all that major.

Re: Is this rebuild essentially complete?
Why do you/would you think this is a single year endeavor?

Re: Is this rebuild essentially complete?
I believe this to be true.
Re: Is this rebuild essentially complete?
You are probably correct.
We won't know if the rebuild is finished until they start winning again.
Looks like with a couple more modifications, this year's rebuild is nearly finished.
We will have to see what happens with 2026 as to whether the rebuild is ongoing.
Beautiful, just lovely.
Re: Is this rebuild essentially complete?
Or a 2 month endeavor. Slap some spackle on it and call it new
Re: Is this rebuild essentially complete?
You think this may be a one season only rebuild?
They will continue to rebuild until they don't stink.
Then they'll claim victory.

There is no "this season's rebuild" - there is THE rebuild. It took years to f^<k, gonna take at least a couple years to unf^>k.Bully4you wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 07:42 amYou are probably correct.

Today- mold the core based on those last year results. Add one stud.
Play 2026 - .500. Redo off season. Add another stud.
Play compete 2027 ish.
My vision.

But if they happen to somehow win 90+ games next year (farfetched).
Then this year would have completed the rebuild, right?
Isn't it all dependent on wins?

There's really not much to talk about if you don't understand what the team is trying to do. What you've posted so far in this thread shows no indication you have any idea of what a rebuild is, why it's being done, or just how it gets done. Get back to us when you figure that out.Bully4you wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 07:47 amI agree with you.AnExParrot wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 07:44 amThere is no "this season's rebuild" - there is THE rebuild. Explain it to me then.
Or not.
Re: Is this rebuild essentially complete?
This rebuild was never major, compared to other teams’ rebuilds.Bully4you wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 07:30 am With the dump of Gray and signing of his replacement?

Only some CTers acted like it was major and the end of the world…

Well, some think this is a multi year rebuild, so I guess over the course of a few yearsecleme22 wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 07:59 amThis rebuild was never major, compared to other teams’ rebuilds.Bully4you wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 07:30 am With the dump of Gray and signing of his replacement?

Re: Is this rebuild essentially complete?
My opinion- the rebuild is not essentially complete. I look for more upheaval this offseason. I look for us to sell and not buy at the deadline, no matter what the record is. Next offseason, I see more incremental tweaks, but not nearly to the extent of this offseason. I fully expect them earn a playoff spot in 2027 and improve from there.

Re: Is this rebuild essentially complete?
I think it multi year, but I again think the new guy Bloom fairly watched the young players perform last year. I think he knows exactly what he wants from that group.Bully4you wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 08:05 amWell, some think this is a multi year rebuild, so I guess over the course of a few yearsecleme22 wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 07:59 amThis rebuild was never major, compared to other teams’ rebuilds.Bully4you wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 07:30 am With the dump of Gray and signing of his replacement?

One year of rebuild is done. Started with moving Goldie. Now we are in year two. We will add a stud pitcher or hitter. Was May that pitcher?
Re: Is this rebuild essentially complete?
That was my expectation as well, but I am not so sure anymore.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 08:06 am My opinion- the rebuild is not essentially complete. I could see Arenado being dealt.
Will any others be gone?
Even Donovan can fill many roles on this team, so they may just keep him.
Try to compete in 2026.
