Sonny Gray vs. Dustin May
So you haters really think this is better and want that as to how to become better and greater? Mr. Mo got Gray you're way got May, even so, I will show up and root for May and love him as a Cardinal, will you?I mean after all that's what you want right? BWAAAAHAHAHA you want to trade Gray for May and only want me to show up for it. YOU SUCK!!!!
Re: Sonny Gray vs. Dustin May
Is this a drunk rant? Or is English your second language?
You'd rather keep Gray during a full rebuild? Yikes.

Nope, I would rather not rebuild and work towards a 90+ win season that can compete. There is no reason St. Louis can't be the Blue Jays. Except for you of course!!!!
Re: Sonny Gray vs. Dustin May
The older I get, the more I want the Cards to compete every year as well. Having said that, this team was about 3-4 hitters short and 3 SP short. They were never going to spend the resources to acquire those players. At the going free agent rates, that would be around $150M add to the existing payroll. So the plan is to acquire players who can be that in 2-3 years. If it works, the team should go on another sustained run. If it doesn't, I will complain with you in 2 years...Ike Hammett wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 00:25 amNope, I would rather not rebuild and work towards a 90+ win season that can compete. It is a weak SP class this year. Woodruff and Valdez added to Gray, Liberatore and McGreevy. Is that staff good enough to win? Helsley, Williams and Diaz at RP. Realmuto, Bregmann and Tucker are the position player adds. Is that team good enough to win? That is an old team that will age quickly. how much more money should the team then add to the fire as these contracts age out? I have a feeling even if the Cards could do that, the team would be a 90-95 win team that could easily flame out in the wild card round or division series round. As much as I wanted them to compete, it should have become clear that the window closed after 2022.

Re: Sonny Gray vs. Dustin May
Give me a team (on paper) to win this division and maybe do way more, that is the model and has always been. Right? Whatever it takes to beat the Brewers and Cubs (on paper), not sure that beats LA or the Yanks but I want to root for those dudes! This is [nonsense]!ICCFIM2 wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 00:46 amThe older I get, the more I want the Cards to compete every year as well. My bad, I'm need Bloom to bring in more Dustin May. Bring in a Gavin Stone or Emmit Sheheen types. On their best days can beat the Ohtani and Yamamoto types and keep us competitive. Edman is not better than Donovan and I really want to see that fight. Flaherty is not better than Gray and I want to see that fight. Kershaw will lose to Matt Carpenter and I want to see that fight. And most of all, when we show up 3 million strong we have a real shot against them!ICCFIM2 wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 00:46 amThe older I get, the more I want the Cards to compete every year as well. Lunatic Fringe. We all know you’re out there. This is open season. And you won’t get too far. Cause you gotta blame someone. For your stare and confusion.
Re: Sonny Gray vs. Dustin May
LOL...I see the "Rebuild" Nazi's are after you with this post. They feel that suffering must be inflicted on the fan base for 3-5 years before the Cards should even try to win. Getting them paychecks from DeWitt must be sweet. I'm hoping that maybe they get lucky in the Gray trade, but signing this May guy and expecting exceptional play is grasping at straws. They want to cherry pick a time when he was doing good but newsflash, you can do that with any pitcher. This is just another Lynn or Gibson move. They're just putting somebody on the field. I'm shocked they didn't go get Siani. LOLIke Hammett wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 00:04 am So you haters really think this is better and want that as to how to become better and greater? The Cardinals were not getting to a 90+ roster in 2026 within any conceivable amount of spending.Ike Hammett wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 00:25 amNope, I would rather not rebuild and work towards a 90+ win season that can compete. I tranlated the OP into Swahili.
Hope that helps.Kwa hivyo nyinyi wanaochukia mnafikiria kweli hii ni bora na mnataka hiyo jinsi ya kuwa bora na kubwa zaidi? Bwana Mo got Gray you're way got May, hata hivyo, nitajitokeza na kumpa May mizizi na kumpenda kama Kardinali, sivyo? I mean after all that's what's what you want right? BWAAAAHAHAHA unataka kufanya biashara ya Grey kwa Mei na unataka tu nijitokeze kwa hilo. UNANYANYA!!!!
