MLb needs a payroll cap.
Re: Weaver a Metropolitan
good for him, carved out a really nice career

....and Brad Keller to the Phillies for the same deal.
Re: Weaver a Metropolitan
Why is this noteworthy? Every time an ex-cardinal signs someplace, it worth posting about for some reason. It’s weird, he hasn’t pitched for the cardinals since 2018. So, who cares?

To see why it was relevant (it wasn't), and to make a post.
How about you? Because you're genuinely interested in Luke Weaver's career?

Not only does this provide more information on the Reliever Market, and possibly JoKo’s value, but how much the competition just spent on that market.
Weaver was killing it in NY
What I don’t comprehend is how it’s irrelevant on a baseball forum… especially a Cardinals baseball forum.

A. There is not a new post for every free agent reliever that signs a contract, like Brad Keller. There does seem to be one for any ex-Cardinal, no matter how big or little of an impact they had or how long ago they played with the organization. I think it’s weird that anybody cares enough about where Luke weaver signed to post about it. The Mets are literally his sixth team since the Cardinals B. The cardinals are not in the market for a high leverage reliever, so Weavers contract is not that all that informative relative to the Cardinals’ plans.BleedingBleu wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 16:54 pmAbsolutely.woofy25 wrote: ↑18 Dec 2025 13:03 pmTo see why it was relevant (it wasn't), and to make a post.
