OT: Michigan football HC Sherrone fired immediately with cause...

...for 'inappropriate relationship' with staffer Paige Shiver, daughter of Bears scout Jeff Shiver. Of all things Biff Poggi is interim now. Sherrone pulled a Patrino and Les Miles. Apparently Ms Shiver is expecting. Tip: With Biff, I'm going all in with Texas.

So what is the suspected crime? Or is the real cause getting blown out by Ohio State?

I read on X somewhere that he broke into an assistant’s residence and was threatening to kill himself.

The whole thing is kind of bizarre.

***check that, just read he allegedly broke into the staffer’s residence he was having the alleged affair with, threatening to kill her and himself.

Now saying that Michigan has “turned over evidence to police”. This is turning for the worse.

What did U-M know and when did they know it? Sources that U-M knew of the affair some time ago but waited to fire Moore after national signing day. Of course Moore was heavily involved in the Connor Stallions sign stealing scandle. U-M has more sleeze than LSU.

remember UM had a awful pub not too long ago about a coach and inappropriate behavior/harassment of his charges and they put in this very tough measure for all those in authority. So they had little choice. THEN he compounded it with the breakin and threatening her and his own life.

Yes. However did U-M violate it's own new rules by not firing Moore till AFTER national signing day (even though they knew of Moore's affair days or weeks beforehand), and thus deceiving recruits? Remember Moore served a suspension from the NCAA for the sign stealing scandal. Also Moore's paramour (and possible baby momma), Ms Shiver, received a 55% pay increase early in the year - was that tied to the affair? Who authorized that kind of pay increase for a fairly low level staffer?

Some talking heads are saying DeBoer is the No. 1 candidate for the Michigan job. The way things are going now, I wouldn't be shocked.

Why would he leave Alabama for Michigan? That wouldn’t make any sense.

He made his bones in that region of the country at Sioux Falls (NAIA) and in the long run Michigan is going to have more in the way of resources than most if not all SEC schools and certainly more than Alabama.

If his post firing actions are true then the guy is just literally falling apart before he hits 40 years old.

I believe in redemption hope he can find it.

If NCAA rules remain static (don’t change) B1G school are much bigger (more alumni) and have much more monetary resources to tap than SEC schools. Money will drive success as it does in most things.

I don't believe Alabama would go to the mat to keep DeBoer but it wouldn't be money holding them back.

Michigan has a WAY easier path to the CFP every year than Bama. Not even close. That's one reason.
