Mizzou Bball is really missing Stone and Pierce
To add needed additional offensive punch. Hopefully, they are back for SEC play.

Maybe on Stone no on Pierce.
In two seasons Pierce has an average of about 4.5 it's per game.

Nailed it! Maybe Pierce comes back and has improved, but if he's anything like last year he doesn't add much. Can't understand why everyone is so enamored with this guy, other than we have no one to replace him. Thank you Coach Gates, you brought in 5 guys and it looks like four of them are just warm bodies, and the fifth is hurt.11WSChamps wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 14:40 pm Maybe on Stone no on Pierce.

They’re really missing a lot of basketball players. There’s more to basketball than palming the ball, taking steps, dunking the basketball, missing free throws and being tall. Gates ought to recruit BASKETBALL PLAYERS and give up on athletes wearing basketball uniforms. 50% from the FT line is pathetic. Not blocking out on rebounds makes the team play much smaller than it really is. Not guarding 3 point shooters (and losing games because of that, like the ND game) is not basketball. He’d better have a good team next year—-on the floor and not on paper.

It is concerning. There are some fundamentals deficiencies, The biggest thing is getting more true SEC caliber talents like Mitchell.Rojo Johnson wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 16:42 pm They’re really missing a lot of basketball players. Missing Pierce's paper thin paint presence? His Shaq-like FT shooting? His bricks from 3?

There's one thing this forum wouldn't miss.
And that's icon's degradation of Mizzou athletes and coaches which dramatically exposes his low self esteem.

I think Pierce is a very talented player who has a lot to show. A little too harsh here I think,

You tainted a good post with your first 3 biased sentences.....but your factual comments that followed were what pretty much what I saw watching the KU game.Rojo Johnson wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 16:42 pm They’re really missing a lot of basketball players. Glad you gave coach another year, he deserves it.

Yet another instance where you are wrong.winonsports wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 17:02 pmYeah that would be great.
Of course, the first three to respond have made it clear they don't want to see that happen.
That's at least four now under your present username and we all know there are exponentially more than that.
Poor (child born out of wedlock).

Re: Mizzou Bball is really missing Stone and Pierce
Maybe, but a rather basic skill in hoops is putting the ball in the basket, and he wasn't very good at that last year.Mizzoufan443 wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 17:53 pm I think Pierce is a very talented player who has a lot to show. A little too harsh here I think,
But Stone is being missed big time. Mack and Boateng ain't cutting it.

The value of Pierce is he’s almost as important defensively as Ant Robinson is. He’s super long with great instincts defensively. He doesn’t hurt you on offense unless he’s at the free throw line and he can at times knock down 3’s in bulk. He has a great release so I think he could become a better shooter.Lightning Rod wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 15:08 pmNailed it! No inside info or idea what is the deal this year, but it feels like we’ve seen this movie. I doubt Pierce plays this year.
We desperately need Stone back and quick.
