Likely [nonsense]
Watching Yankee podcast from Orlando and they are reporting Yankees are trying to finalize a deal for Donovan but need to move McMahon first. Return mentioned was Dominguez and pitcher Lagrange.

Why? Is he good?
Re: Likely [nonsense]
Dominguez is more injury prone than Nootbaar! If this is the deal Bloom makes, I’ll be disappointed. Mainly for that reason, because we, as fans, don’t really know what else is being offered. LaGrange, has potential, but not as much as some other hurlers that we’ve discussed. However, there’s no guarantee those hurlers are truly available.

A switch hitting Tyler O’Neil with better plate discipline and a better base runner.C-Unit wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025 22:01 pmWhy? Is he good?

Bloom better come home with something better than Jasson Dominguez.

Just another talked about trade idea until the trade actually happens. We have seen a few of these, some are interesting, some are not. Just really adds to the suspense until we actually know what the trade involves.
There’s so much smoke, you have to believe a Donovan trade is going to happen. This particular trade idea is certainly interesting but there are others that have been interesting too. Should be an interesting week.

Re: Likely [nonsense]
JD doesn't seem to have anything close to TON's power.
Re: Likely [nonsense]
Exactly what we need. A power corner outfield bat, and a young high upside pitcher. I’ll take it all day everyday.

Gonna be a stud pitcher

I’ll even throw in walker to get the deal done.

JMO but I don’t want any player whose comp is Tyler O’Neill.

Re: Likely [nonsense]
I don't care about JD's injury history. This is the type of upside trade the Cardinals have to get for Donovan. Starting LF and Lagrange would be a 1a pitching prospect up there with Doyle. Lagrange is a righty too which is much needed.
Re: Likely [nonsense]
Nope.
For all practical purposes, he is just another Nootbaar.
Really just a LH bat with a .269/.345/.447 line from that side.
He does virtually nothing as a RH hitter.
16 HR in 529 total career PA's.
Bottom line - a LH corner outfielder under control through the 20230 season.
Adds nothing to a lineup that needs a productive RH outfield bat.
That would be a terrible return for Donovan - unless there was more to the deal.

Trading Donovan for another Nootbaar would pretty much be the opposite of planning for a successful future.Absolut wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 08:32 amThat’s really planning for the future.Melville wrote: ↑08 Dec 2025 08:23 amNope.
