That ... is significantly better than what I expect of him offensively.
His defensive game I really like, If this player can do this consistently on offense he is an NHL top four defender, period

I didn't realize Burns was in the ECHL. Certainly trying to show he's not supposed to be there. I've never seen him make moves like that, so perhaps the level of competition is truly too low there. If it's actually a sign that he has been working on his offensive game, then it is indeed a good sign.seattleblue wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025 10:04 am[Eyes emoji]The Average Gatsby wrote: ↑06 Dec 2025 23:23 pm There was also a Quinton Burns sighting

I've always thought he could be an NHL top-4 defender just like Gunnarsson and Edmundson were technically top-4. The way Colaiacovo was top-4...well maybe not exactly

Big boy has some mitts. Woah.
And doing some more digging, he's got more than just skill. He leads. He joins others that are leaders (Snuggerud, etc.). This organization needs this type of skill in the pipeline. And dudes that can lead.
"You don't know what you're getting until the player comes here, and his first rookie camp was really good," Blues assistant general manager Tim Taylor said. "Moving into last year, we took another step and obviously big expectations. Another one of our young guys that was the captain of his team, has a lot of leadership qualities. It really helps in their growth and maturity pushing other guys. He's another guy that's going to turn pro this year and hopefully has a good camp and obviously Springfield, we're looking for him to play well there."

back in the day I coined "Weaklinkovo" when he was the team's weak link for like two years when they were looking for the player that became Jaybo, That was two straight ears seeking an LHD it was right when Fowler was emerging ironically.zamadoo wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025 10:12 amI didn't realize Burns was in the ECHL. Cola's problem wasn't skill or grit, it was health.. dude was too brittle for the style he playedseattleblue wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025 10:43 amback in the day I coined "Weaklinkovo" when he was the team's weak link for like two years when they were looking for the player that became Jaybo, That was two straight ears seeking an LHD it was right when Fowler was emerging ironically.zamadoo wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025 10:12 amI didn't realize Burns was in the ECHL. 4gs in 20 AHL games now at his age is not bad at all. It's a shame he's LW and not a C but with Stancls size and intangibles he would be such a huge injection to the Blues forward group, sorely needed

Especially if he can play center. I’m not sure what position he’s playing for Springfield.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑07 Dec 2025 11:42 am 4gs in 20 AHL games now at his age is not bad at all.
