That being said, Binner is not a play every other game goalie. He wants and needs to be in the thick of it at all times to maintain his mentality.

For better or worse, Binner will lose 5 to 1, the next game he shuts you down.

Letting him lose a game, get pulled and not let him play again is so working against what he is as a goalie, and I really have to question coaching at this point and not knowing your players.

It's being done because of the condensed schedule due to the Olympics, especially since Monty knows binny is very likely Canadas goaler sot that's going to be 9 or so additional games he has to account for. After December we likely see more regular goaler schedule.

Not trying to sound smarmy here - but are you suggesting that the coaches should keep throwing Binnington out there even though he can't stop a beach ball right now? That might be a tough sell to the rest of an already fragile team.

I agree, in past seasons binner would be lights out and then give you a head scratcher, but I think that consensus was that happened because he was overworked.

I love Binner and want to see a statue in front of enterprise some day, but he has not lived up to his past performance this season, and IMO has been outright bad for most of it.

Lol we have back to backs and they wanted Hof for that matchup and Binny for this one. He'll get over it.

I'm glad Hofer is playing better but he's really only had 2 decent games so far this whole season. Anointing him a #1 because of 2 decent games after all those bad ones is ridiculous. He's had way more horrible games so far this season than he's had good ones. He's also still making absolutely terrible plays with the puck. That will show it's ugly head again soon. He dangerous with the puck and still hasn't worked that out yet.
