Bye bye ott
Book it.
I give it two more weeks tops. Someone gets the axe for this trash and it will be him.

If he does, he’ll probably get kicked upstairs with the suits

That's more than five games.

Binnington’s save. % will be in the crapper again.
So now the game is out of hand, barring some real good shooting by us. Who is going to save us next game, Luff?

Wouldn't be surprised to see goaltending coach David Alexander to get the boot instead.
Re: Bye bye ott
Ott should have been canned as soon as the PP went 0-6

Re: Bye bye ott
Why would they PP be any good?
No one timer threat, nobody who can make plays in tight spaces, seldom win battles along the boards to ensure puck possession, no feared point shot.
Did I miss anything?

No firings and no trades. As frustrating as this is, the Blues have to play their way out of this. We have too much team talent to playing like this. Those little dink passes in our own zone are leading to bunches of turnovers in our own end. Also, the Blues are trying to score pretty goals. It's leading to one and dones, and quick transition the other way. Change the system. It's not working. We are showing flashes of good play at times, but can't put three periods together. I thought Buch might be coming out of it, but that didn't last long.

And maybe play their way from drafting top 5 to ~14th!? What problem would that solve?hockey jedi wrote: ↑04 Dec 2025 22:02 pm No firings and no trades. Yes -- Make changes to Assistant coaches and advisors behind the bench right now.
Yes -- The Goaltending Coach needs to get a real hard evaluation, on not only his evaluation of goalies, but also his methods and the timing of his communicating with them.
Yes to 11WSChamps -- your take above, you hit the PP in a nut shell. There may be a few other, but you got it.
Yes, but to hockeyjedi -- I hear you on the play analysis...I'm not saying NO trades, it's more like realistically right now, there probably is not a trade we could execute that would be worthwhile.
Last night: Joseph, Holloway and Mailloux were our best players. Yes, Mailloux -- he made strong outlet passes, worked hard to be where he should be. and Thomas, Schenn, Kyrou were our worst players. Thomas is highly skilled, but he is not resilient. He has difficulty dealing with setbacks. Do you trade him? probably not worth doing that, but we need another top Center big time. Not a knock on Suter, he also played fairly too.
No more excuses.
