Re: What kind of starting pitching would the Mariners give for Burleson?
Before responding I did a little research.
Mariners just inked Naylor(LH hitting 1B) to a big 5 year deal.
Nothing against Burleson....who has been coming on with the bat....but why would the Mariners want Burleson??
So....to answer your question....basically nobody due to lack of interest.

Not: Castillo, Gilbert, Kirby, Woo, Miller, Anderson, Sloan
Possibly; Cijntje, Logan Evans, Emerson Hancock
I am 100% not opposed to trading Burleson, but I wouldn't trade him to Seattle for less than Ryan Sloan. I don't think they will do that, so that makes a match difficult.

They would have interest. He would play the same positions for them that he plays for us.Cusecards wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:22 am Before responding I did a little research.

That would be perfect for the Mariners: first sign Josh Naylor to a 5-yr FA contract, then trade for Naylor-Lite.

Maybe Sloan, but I doubt if they are going to part with him for anyone.Shady wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:26 amWhich of those Nots might the Cardinals get for Donovan instead?Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:24 am Not: Castillo, Gilbert, Kirby, Woo, Miller, Anderson, Sloan

you're saying they're overly stingy with their own prospects?Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:28 amMaybe Sloan, but I doubt if they are going to part with him for anyone.Shady wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:26 amWhich of those Nots might the Cardinals get for Donovan instead?Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:24 am Not: Castillo, Gilbert, Kirby, Woo, Miller, Anderson, Sloan

I agree if that's what you're saying.
I do feel Donovan is worth a Sloan...and a little more if we're being fair.

I’d try for Logan GilbertTalkin' Baseball wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:38 amThat is what I'm saying- and I agree, it's Sloan +craviduce wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:31 amyou're saying they're overly stingy with their own prospects?Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:28 amMaybe Sloan, but I doubt if they are going to part with him for anyone.Shady wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:26 amWhich of those Nots might the Cardinals get for Donovan instead?Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:24 am Not: Castillo, Gilbert, Kirby, Woo, Miller, Anderson, Sloan

Lost me when the writer said the Cards didn't need to sell low on Donovan. Low? That makes no sense. 2 years of control great defense, good offense, where is the LOW at? Shady, tell the truth did you write that article?

Re: What kind of starting pitching would the Mariners give for Burleson?
Could be...although with the Naylor signing scratch Burleson for 1B.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:25 amThey would have interest. He would play the same positions for them that he plays for us.Cusecards wrote: ↑02 Dec 2025 10:22 am Before responding I did a little research.

So that leaves OF/DH.
Not that the Mariners wouldn’t like to have Burleson but I just don’t see the fit where they would part with a significant pitcher.
Maybe with Burleson part of a package but that is a whole different thread.
To be honest the OP is famous for starting these kind of threads.
I consider it mostly a need for attention as he is also famous for starting repetitive threads daily.
And considering his Burleson fixation I find it even more strange.
