Throw 7 times for 25 yards ?

Post by stanw »

I know we won, but I don't recall ever watching a football game where only seven passes went for 25 yards.

Wet field. Wet ball. 5.5 per carry. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah, but Drink is looking at bringing Diego Parvia in as a transer. He's going to be a heck of a player when he's a senior.

Look on the bright side with no interceptions but of course fumblena puts one on the ground for a TD.

I don’t care how many yards you rush for, you are going to lose to a good team with 25 yd passing. We have great receivers so it is either the qb, the offensive line not giving the qb enough time, or the OC. Drink needs to figure out which and go to the portal for the first two or fire the last one.

The OL was the culprit, most of the season, especially vs. the teams to whom we lost. They certainly couldn't pass block and could do no blocking whatsoever in the games that we lost. Only superhuman efforts by Hardy and Roberts gained yards, when holes weren't there.

You answered your own question. If we play a better team maybe we do pass more. We didn’t have to against Arkansas so we didn’t.

When you're defense only gives up 7 points you don't need to risk throwing the ball to win. Heck our offense gave Arky more points than our defense did.

Somehow, I think winning the game is more important than showing balance with the primary intent of looking good for future recruits or potential transfers.

Winning is always more important.

But if you believe its because if we wanted to throw the ball we would have you're just fooling yourself.

We have the worst passing offense in the conference.

Not on this forum.

It's more important to find ways to distract people from the fact that we won.

Yeah, I sincerely hope that Drinkwitz doesn't think that's now a blueprint for how to beat everybody. It's not, and this season proved that. Arky is just that awful that it worked.

it simply reinforced what I have been saying for months. Kirby Moore is totally incompetent as ANY HS OC would have used AR stacking the line trying to stop running attack meant the field was WIDE OPEN constantly and their lbers and secondary suck at pass defense. Beau does good job completing passes over middle of field and did hit Norfleet several times in the hands and he dropped ball. Not targeting the WR's especially Coleman and speedy is a CRIMINAL action on simply slants and let them create after that.

NOT faking handoffs to Hardy then hitting the great Roberts in open field on wheel routes is CRIMINAL behavior and had all the SEC talking heads LOLing Drink for allowing this idiot to call plays and for signing a Massive contract while beating literally no on with a pulse. IF Drink doesn't fire his useless (bleep) before bowl practices start then he should be shamed whenever him or his wife show up in public in Como till they leave town with tail between legs for being as big as idiot as KM. Hopefully someone will hire him away as OC or since most hires are done by BOC's or AD's who are clueless about how good a coach really is a G5 as HC because he was in SEC.

Thank goodness MU has a BB HC with a clue and the top recruiting class in country. At least there is hope there and now with the Lady Tigers. WE can follow them until Eli proves he has a clue and beats someone with this new much tougher schedule or settles into 7 win doom loop.
